This was kind of a gamble buy for me. I was looking for an eye cup for my Canon T2i and settled on the cheapest one on amazon. Wasn't expecting much and figured that probably after I got it I would be getting a more expensive one. Nope not the case. I love it. It is just perfect and magnifies the screen to an extremly sharp point. I really can set up the camera much better for my video shots without any interference of outside light source. The eye cup settles well to the eye and the magnified connection holds pretty good to.

What a great accessory for my T2i. I have trouble seeing the viewfinder, especially in the bright sun or bright lights. This helped tremendously. I enjoy taking pictures now that the glare is gone.

I was a little apprehensive about buying this due to some reviews that mentioned things like metal falling off, or feeling cheap and flimsy, etc.

I experienced none of those things. The metal piece that has adhesive strips pre-applied to it adhered perfectly around my screen without covering up the proximity sensors on my Canon 550D (T2i) The viewfinder magnetically grips that metal piece with a fairly-solid force. I couldn't get it to release while using it normally until I meant to pull it off. I can tell that this will not fall off on its own accord.

The viewfinder really does magnify the screen and makes it VERY simple to achieve perfect focus. I'll be using this for outdoor filming which will help in bright situations tremendously.

Great product.

***UPDATE***

Having now used this product for 4 filming dates thus far, I can say that I find myself not using as much as I originally anticipated. It does help. Don't get me wrong. But when filming from a tripod or crane or any other mounted surface, I find that to press my eye up to the viewfinder only moves the camera when I don't want it moved. So, in most situations, I don't use it. HOWEVER, I have been in bright sunlight needing to film and I was grateful for having it at my disposal. When seeing the screen would prove very difficult in such bright conditions, it proves to be worth every penny.

I got this viewfinder for my Canon T2i to capture film on sunny days. It holds up pretty well. The version I got came with a metal frame that screwed into the bottom of the camera. It did not frame the LCD screen perfectly, but this comes as a double edged sword as it didn't cover up the two sensors at the top of the screen. If these were covered, I would not be able to use manual mode (or any other still shot mode, for that matter) and see my options on the LCD with the metal frame on it, so it allows me to keep it on the camera. The magnets the viewfinder can be stronger as it falls off with a good bump. For the price it is amazing, so I would recommend it to people that are just starting out DSLR film making or on a tight budget.

Compared to the much more expensive alternatives and heftier ViewFinders..this is the way to go if you are on a budget. [who isn't]

Pros: The zoomed screen. Very light. Ease of taking on and off with magnet attachment.
Cons: Magnet frame can be shaky or flimsy. Its cheap.

Really great product for those who want to make sure their subjects are in focus, and have a hard time seeing the screen in bright places. For the amateur photographer/videographer it is a steal. If you are a professional and can afford the pricer Viewfinders [more stable], that would be the better way to go.

I just bought this item and got it in the mail today. I love the idea and it fits sort of well on my Canon T2i. the only issues i have is how large the viewfinder. it goes over the buttons a tad on my T2i so the best use for it is to have the connector tilted away from the buttons. If your are buying this product, understand that the clip isn't attractable onto the actual screen but a mount you put on the bottom of your camera. I have to get use to knowing where the buttons are over the giant viewfinder but its great for the amount of money I paid for it!

It's cheaply made, the second I pulled it out of the package one of the magnetic strips fell off of the cup. I was able to glue it back in, but for what I paid for it, I shouldn't have had to. It stays on fairly well once put on, but it will slide from time to time. I would have been happier if I hadn't had to glue the piece back in. Some reviews mentioned that you screw it to the bottom of the camera. Mine came with adhesive for the base, which I have no problem with, but we'll see how it lasts over time.

If you are looking for a viewfinder and do not need to adjust the focus for the eyepiece then this will work great for you. The mount is nice since it is magnetic and will allow the frame to pop on and off. Has a good feel.

Unfortunately, I wear glasses and once my eye was meeting the cup the screen is really out of focus. There is not a way to adjust the focus. Outside of this issue I would recommend the product.
