I put this together myself with only a rubber mallot required for tools. Instructions were easily read. It is holding up a 62" Panasonic DLP/LCD. About 75lbs. It seems plenty sturdy enough for the weight. I would recommend this to my friends with no small children as it DOES sway a bit if pushed. I think as long as it is not knocked into with any force it will serve my purposes quite nicely. I have in a corner in which the walls are a secondary support against any swaying. I needed a stand with plenty of airflow for my components, most especially my srround sound box, so this certainly fits that bill. It looks very nice, more like a $200 stand than a $59 one. The tubing is grey/dark silver plastic--not metal, the shelves and dividers are black laminated pressed wood. I think this was a much better purchase than a couple I looked at that were similar from Target and Walmart that didn't look as good quality.
