The new EZ Dual Cam by Ezonics is a great idea that finally arrived. Software and camera worked flawlessly and simply right out of the box. The best feature is the ability to use the camera as a handheld still digital camera which really does take very nice pictures for the money. The color video mode is also exceptional for online teleconferencing. This camera is worth TWICE the money they're charging for it.

I was spektical at first, but now I am amazed by the benefits of this camera. There are more features on it than what the technical data says. It comes with a battery, carrying string, and great software. There are also a few different things you don't hear about. Like the ten second wait so you can get in the picture, and an auto shut off. There is even a tripod skrew on the bottom (I recommend the Vivitar VPT-120 at Wal-Mart if you want to get a good tripod). The software will come in handy, and with some of it you can make a 3D head of yourself and make 360 degree images. Setup was quick and easy. You may run into some problems, but you'll eventually get the hang of it. The resolution is super good. It is much clearer than a regular camera, and you can get it right on your computer when you get home, or you can bring your laptop with you to view them as you take them. No matter what you're doing, this digital camera ranks top in technology and fun.

All the features seem good and work well at first, but their site promises tech support in most cases in 24 hours and that's not happening. They have never answered any of the 5 msgs I've sent. I bought this camera based on reviews here. At first it seemed good (both still and video), but as used it for distant subjects I found the still picture is not very sharp (typical of CMOS imagers) and the video stopped working entirely. There's no H/W uninstall, there's no device listed in the system, so you can't get it out to reinstall it easily unless possibly uninstalling the whole S/W suite gets the camera out as well. 4 requests for tech support have been ignored as has a message to customer service.

I have been extremely impressed with the Ezonic EZ DualCAM. I was also very skeptical of the price and even more skeptical when I received the product (it seems like it is cheaply made). However, the camera's software was easy to install and I had the camera running in minutes. The quality of the pictures is good. Granted, you can spend $500 more dollars for better resolution; however, then all of your friend with slow internet connections get frustrated with you due to the large files to download. My computer appears to lock up a little more, but that is probably due to me unplugging the camera from the USB port while it's running. Overall, this is an extremely good value for the price. You cannot find a better value!

This had been working when I first got it, but now the thing just hangs up and won't open up at all if the cam is pluged in and will not time out, so I have to hit my off to get out of it, not a very good thing for windows to do . If I open a program and then plug in the cam it causes my computer to restart ? Have emailed them a number of times but no response from them, also have tried their phone number and couldn't get through . Bum steer on this one

A true piece of .... I was initially delighted with this cam...most everything about it worked. I did have some problems with the software, as far as transfering pics from the camera to my computer. I eventually figured out that the software would only recognize the camera when it was instructed to search for a scanner, instead of a camera. No big deal. However, after having not used it as a digital cam for several months, I found to my great frustration that it simply stopped functioning as a digital camera. Tech support was no help. So now, I'm stuck with a webcam, instead of the duel web/digital cam I thought I'd purchased. Don't waste your time with this product.

I purchased this camera in August it had problems from the beginning then it worked for about two weeks. My friend here in Brasil also purchased one and returned it within two weeks as it did not work after two weeks. We live in Brasil and have to have friends bring them back and forth. Therefore any product that is a problem becomes a bigger problem. This camera should be taken off the market until it is perfected. I read another review on this camera on this site and it called the camera junk I should have listened. The picture comes and goes fades out and never returns now it is not working at all. If you like throwing away money buy this camera.

I first saw a demonstration of this camera on a home-shopping channel. The video image that was shown on the camera was pretty clear and the photo was pretty good as well. I read the reviews on this sight and saw that feelings were mixed on the quality of this camera. I decided to give it a chance since I had seen a "live" demonstration of this camera's abilites and there were some reviews that looked promising. Big mistake! I realize that this is very inexpensive for a product that delivers both a still camera and live video but I feel that with this model "you get what you pay for." Not very much! The still pictures were out of focus and the color was not good at all. The video was extremely blurry and again, the color was bad. I had high hopes for getting a bargain and getting decent quality. No luck! I mainly wanted to use this to take photos of items for auction--this did not have anywhere near the quality that could be used for decent pictures. I bought a Sony Mavica instead. It costs a lot more, but boy do the pictures look clear!

I thought the Ezonics EZDual Cam was going to be a great product, but it was not what I expected. The installing of the drivers and software was pretty easy. The software it brought for editing pictures is not very user-friendly and doesn't run very smoothly. I was not happy with the quality of the photos it took nor the quality of the video. The video had a huge delay, you could look at the camera and back at your monitor and you would still be looking at yourself. Plus, every movement is blurred. Forget about moving around!!! As for using it as a camera, not good at all. Again,, blurred!! Whatever you are taking a picture of better be super still and you better put the camera on a tripod because any little movement and the picture comes out blurred. I mainly wanted the camera to take pictures to email to my family, but as bad as the pictures come out, its best to use a regular camera and just scan them.. Very cheap quality!!

I found this camera to be totally unusable. The company did not replyto my requests for help. The Software installed ok, although notparticularly intuitive, it worked. The problem was the picture was completely blurred. None of the settings on the focus ring made it any different. All in all, a very cheaply made product...Thanks for nothing...Worthless.
