This item looks great. Scientific Toys put alot of effort and detail into this product making it look very authentic. - It features a full interior, opening front doors, hood, tailgate, folding mirrors, and an engine bay. Electronically: - When you turn the Jeep on, it has annoying engine sounds that continue throughout your entire use. - If you hit the "Remote Lock" button on the controller, the Jeep stops working and a light on the dash blinks (as if to indicate an alarm is protecting it). Press the button again and it fires right up. - When you turn, orange lights blink in the correct blinkers (kind of cool at first, but then annoying as they blink WAY too fast). - There is a switch on the controller that turns the headlights on or off. Very cool feature. - When you are accelerating, if you let go of the stick, the brakelights come on. POWER: -This is where this toy becomes a statue. Because the Jeep is so preoccupied with entertaining you with annoying engine noises, it seems as if all of the power is drained before you even hit the accelerator. The electronics are powered by a 9.6v battery, which is powerful when used with something a little smaller and lighter. This is a big, heavy R/C. The first time I used it, it could BARELY move on a flat carpet. There are 3 "speeds" which you can select on the controller.. I have named them: "Stationary, Ultra Slow, and Slow" - On ABSOLUTELY FLAT ground, it doesn't perform AS terribly, but don't try to race your neighbor's Corvette R/C. - Whats worse, is when you actually get some momentum, the beast doesn't want to stop. I learned this the hard way when the vehicle smacked into my ankle! YEOUCH! - The steering is annoying. The wheels and tires are so hard, wide, and heavy, that the weak little steering motor cannot turn them if there is any resistance AT ALL! It only works when you are actually in motion. Makes it very un-manuevarable. To sum it all up: This is a great toy if its going to be used ONLY on hardwood floors and there is some patience because of the annoying constant sounds. I hope this review is helpful in you making a decision! -David

I wanted to see other reviews just to see if I was crazy or not about how much the battery last on this toy. Turns out that I was right. If you take the toy outside your house you will not get more than 5 to 10 minutes of play. I would not ever buy this toy again and the store I bought it from will not allow me to return it, I can only replace it for the same one.

I bought this truck for my Grandson. The expression when he opened it was worth every penny I paid. The only problem is he keep trying to run over his little sister.
