5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent features and easy enough for even elderly patients to open
I bought this one for a parent who had to take medications FOUR times a day. Until the latest regimen of pills was added, she found it easy enough to keep track of medications. Being in her 90s, she'd avoided meds for as long as possible (hmmm....could that be the secret to a long life?). But the once a day baby aspirin, a thyroid med, and one other medication increased...

1.0 out of 5 stars Nice, but not well made.
The concept of this organizer is great; however, the door latches are not well made. Several of the doors will not stay shut, so I have to be very careful about the pills falling out. Also, the design of the doors makes it a little difficult to get multiple pills in at one time. It does have a nice pill catch feature in case you drop one. There are open spaces between...

I bought this one for a parent who had to take medications FOUR times a day. Until the latest regimen of pills was added, she found it easy enough to keep track of medications. Being in her 90s, she'd avoided meds for as long as possible (hmmm....could that be the secret to a long life?). But the once a day baby aspirin, a thyroid med, and one other medication increased exponentially after a recent hospital visit. It would have been maddening to keep track of all those meds without this organizer.

Best features:

1. Color coded sections for each time (morning, noon, evening, bedtime). Even if you don't take pills 4 times a day, you'll find the color coding to be helpful. The container holds a week's worth of pills.

2. Easy to open - simply push down on the latch and the lid pops open. It doesn't take much strength to do this. It isn't a pain.

3. Large lettering.

There is one negative to this container. It isn't small and couldn't easily be toted along if going out to lunch, etc. So get a portable and small pill container for those occasions and use the larger one while in the house. It simplifies things so much and makes up for any "memory gaps", avoiding double dosing or missing a dose.

Also, the design of the doors makes it a little difficult to get multiple pills in at one time. It does have a nice pill catch feature in case you drop one. There are open spaces between each row that will catch dropped pills; however, due to the poor latching doors, this feature doesn't help much. I wouldn't buy this again. Great concept, poor quality.

2.0 out of 5 stars Very Disappointed, September 10, 2011

I have medications I have to take at different times, and was excited about finding this product. It was aesthetically pleasing to the eye, compared to other pill containers, and met all the times I needed to take my pills.

I had this thing for a few weeks, before one of the evening tabs went out. It would not latch in place anymore, leaving that day's evening pills insecure. The last thing I want is to dig through my bag looking for pills that should not have been lost in the first place, or finding that they were crushed when they fell out. It was soon after that another one and another one would not close, to the point where I was carrying it in a plastic zip bag so that the pills that would fall out, I could easily find.

In the end I got fed up, and bought a different pill container at my local grocery store. This product was nice at first, but then turned out to be a complete waste of money.

1.0 out of 5 stars cheap product - poor design, April 1, 2011

The push-button-to-open lids would not snap shut after a week of use. The design is terrible - once you open a lid you must turn the entire organizer to get your pills out and if any of the lids are not close you will have a mess. Besides the lids not snapping shut as I mentioned above, it's easy to leave a lid partially open without realizing it.

Keep looking.

Works great, large compartments for easy putting in and taking out the pills. Also pop-up compartments easy to open, great for those of us with arthritis. Best one I've had so far and tried plenty.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good for organizing, May 1, 2012
This review is from: Ezy Dose Push Button 7-Day XL Medtime Planner
Have had this for a year and there are a few sticky tabs but nothing broken. Need to separate pills by more than 4 times a day so turned it around, scraped off lettering and have 4 days with 7 time slots, niece wrote in times with marker. Have arthritis and this has worked well.

This thing is a great idea and looks good but broke after first use. Buy another one that's not so fancy. I had my simple one for years.
