This is Helium Vola's third album, and it is a little different from the other two, which is a good thing as I can see a very cool progression from one album to the next. If anything, this one generally has more of a somber sound than the other ones. It is very hard to describe, but you can find a sample on youtube called "Radio Futuro" that will give you an idea what this is about.
It's a hard item to come about, but it is a beautiful collection of music, highly recommended for anyone who likes classical, electronic, or even medieval music.

I've been a fan of Helium Vola's for a few years now, and I've just gotten around to purchasing this album. I'm honestly not surprised that I'm not disappointed. The compositions and textures on this album are amazing. I don't understand how the mix of modern and not so modern music can work so well, but through Helium Vola anything is possible. Every song has a different feel, and the contrast of dark, heavy, percussive songs in the same listing as soft gentle madrigal chants is nothing short of amazing. Perhaps it's just me and my weird musical taste.This album will definitely impress those open minded musically! |
