While he writes technical material concerning motor vehicles daily, he has had the distinction of writing, on a freelance basis, a text concerning automotive air conditioning that was the best selling book in Haynes' history.

Not being a shade tree mechinic, this book will get you started in at least I.D.ing parts of a vehile, maintenance, and just a solid understanding about your vehicle. Well worth the price!

I purchased this book because I am a "Do it yourselfer". The only issue I have is with the year of my Ford and this manual. It seems that my truck was built between years so some items don't seem to go along with my year, either being the right model year or the next, seems to have a mixture of both. One major problem I have with my truck that I couldn't find in the manual is the IAC motor!! Where in the #%*& does that thing mount??? I bought the part but the manual doesn't show nor does the web show where it goes... The last place I want to go to is the dealer but it's not looking good for the team. Other than that, it's not a bad reference.
