5.0 out of 5 stars F-16 In Action reissued & updated, June 10, 2010
By
This review is from: F-16 Falcon in action - Aircraft No. 196 (Paperback)
Hard to believe that the first F-16 in Action book was published back in 1982. This book has been updated as of 2005. The F-16 is still going strong, improved, updated & upgraded. With such a long service life, you'd expect that this is virtually a new plane, and indeed, it is.

The book still covers the development & history of the F-16 going back to the prototype days in 1972. Sometimes, it gets a little dry talking about the upgrades, batches, blocks, serial numbers this through that. What makes the book so interesting are the excellent B&W photos, captions, line drawings. There are 2 pages of color plates to show F-16 camouflage shemes used by the USAF and other nations through the years. What has made this plane so drastically improved are the quantum leaps in technology. The F-16 is vastly improved and this book shows exactly how. Used by 22 nations, this fighter is going to be around for a lot longer.

Highly recommended for all aviation fans, F-16 Falcon buffs, modelers.
