Editorial Reviews

In 2000, there was an import release of F.O.A.D./Bonecrusher, containing F.O.A.D. (1987, originally released on Combat Core) and Bonecrusher (1986, originally released on Combat Core) by Broken Bones on one compact disc. ~ Rob Theakston, All Music Guide

4.0 out of 5 stars Great mid 80s British Metallic hardcore/punk December 13, 1999

Format:Audio CD
This is Broken Bones later into their career. The material is a bit more metal and has their bassist taking over on vocals. Contains some older tracks redone. All in all a great album though, worth the money, although as I starting point if you've never heard the band I'd definitely go for the singles first. But a definite choice for fans of the band.

This record is really a mix of FOAD and some of BONECRUSHER mixed in. The studio parts of FOAD had a sound level and prodcution value that the band hadnt had before this record. The BONECRUSHER stuff is very good also.
Some people dont like that half of FOAD is live recordings, and say that the sound isnt good. I say that the live stuff is great, and really has some great examples of why Robertws is one of the most influential (and unrecognized) guitar players from the early 80's onward. Listen to Slayer, Anthrax, or just about anybody that has played hard and fast- and you will hear this influence.
This is my review, and if you don't like it...F.O.A.D!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Broken Bone's F.O.A.D. November 5, 2012

The album has much more tracks then when I previously bought it back in the late 80's. If you like D.R.I.'s album "Crossover" or G.B.H.'s "Midnight Madness and Beyond". You will definitely not be disappointed with F.O.A.D.. The album actually has two albums and an E.P. compiled into F.O.A.D., There are quite a few tracks from the Broken Bones album, "Bonecrusher". It also has an E.P. along with the album, The track, "Gotta Get Outta Here". So you get a very wide range of Brokens Bones album recording evolution, even some live tracks. Definitely a must have.
