I have been looking at different security suite solution, and I feel this one is the best I've seen so far.

Let's start with firewall. By default, it is very easy to configure, but if you prefer more fine-tuned configuration that can meet your specific needs (hence, more complicated) then you can have it that way too, so it's one-fit-all. It also looks for suspicious behavior of the program, and it prevents such exploit from being executed as well.

Virus scanner uses the engine developed by Kaspersky, which often scores very high in pattern based virus scanning, and F-secure covers its weakness in heuristic detection by having extra methods of scanning.

I'd recommend F-Secure Internet Security for any who is looking for good PC security.

I have tried about all of them, and the problem is either they do not find everything or they just take up too much of the resources computer. Spywaredetector, made by this company, had a huge advantage. Once it went through the first scan, the next scan takes about 2 minutes or less. This is what I expected from the 2007 version of the Security Suite. I actually had emailed the company asking if they would ever come out with more than just a
spyware detector. Although the 2007 version did find everything and did not lock up the computer at all, it was somewhat slow. I went back to my usual combination of TrendPCCillin (which never finds everything, but at least
does not lock up the resources of your computer anymore) and SpywareDoctor. The latter now comes as Spyware Doctor with Antivirus, which I actually purchased as a two-user version online. It does find everything and well, but it locks up the computer to an unbelievable amount and it only comes in a 2 or 5 version version. I much prefer the 3 user version. Once I actually paid 75 dollars apiece for two installations of the Panda software known sold under the Staples brand name. This was TERRIBLE software that locked up the computer completely and the version of last year was apparently no better.

Of all of these, I think this is the best..if you are going to pay any money at least. With viruses hitting ever more, if you HAVE to use Windows, as I do, then this is the best, easiest, and least time-consuming software to use.

Right now, late September 2007, it seems you can only get it online from F-Secure (the 2008 version). They have a special going on..with comes with a free 1GB drive Flash drive..which I can always use and a small discount.

I think this is the best buy of all..in terms of you need only one program to do it all, and it does not lock up your computer at all.

I have used Symantec Mcafee, etc, F-Secure is the best by FAR. It won the top place in consumer reports 2006 review and seems to be top ranked by many other PC magazines. It is VERY easy to use and does constantly bug me to update! I love this!

This product is difficult to configure and when sending repeated requests for support I never got the help I needed. The responses looked like they never bothered to read my question. The response looked like a canned response that didn't relate to my problem. Like many products of this type they provide so much checking and blocking that performance is greatly affected.
