5.0 out of 5 stars Meaningful & Creative, May 25, 2009

This is a great song. Don't let the title fool you. Check out the song on MySpace before making any judgments about its content. This is a fun song with serious lyrics. It's hard not to appreciate the sheer creativity that shines brightly through Lily Allen.

5.0 out of 5 stars A very creative way to say what we all say if only in our own minds, October 31, 2011
This review is from: F**k You (MP3 Download)
The production for what resulted in the combination of the well-sung lyrics, sarcastically upbeat music, and the effective visuals to compliment the overall finished piece [...] gave me a great deal of comic relief. Why, Because of the frustration over continued self-serving single focus and delusional agenda of the Republicans who think if they can keep us out of jobs etc., we'll favor them in the general vote, and then they will have accomplished what they state is their objective, their only objective right now and until elections finish is to: "Make Obama a one term president." And worse yet, conniving us into voting them into office in the midterms based on lies we would not have thought any elected official would dare try -- stating they would get us jobs Obama hasn't done. OK, 9 months after taking office, I ask: "So just where are those jobs we decided to pay you to get for us?"

What kind of collective comprehension deficit are they operating with that would somehow cause us to react in a way that would make us blame Obama for their inaction (a president doesn't legislate -- congress does) and make us engage in the same disconnected mental parsing as they do, so we would illogically agree that Obama should be a one term president? Totally delusional. What I see in this particular collection of Republicans is hypothetical at best, but it seems they have had some brain stem reaction collectively that is causing a rather reptlian-minded eat or be eaten ideology. Something associated with the misconception that it is THEIR government to manage, and theirs alone.

To those who feel as I do, this song, lyrics, the singer are all so very appropriate in voicing all of our frustrations in a creative and way, rather than immaturely slurring bias and hate and heaping it with all due seriousness on Progressives with the sophistication of a slow child.

She has no manners and is very immature singing about songs like this! I would give no stars but you aren't able to do that.
