Got this for my 9 year old son. The simulation is pretty realistic, so he likes the game very much.

I recently picked up F/A 18 Super Hornet for GBA recently, and liked it. I saw that this was available for the DS, and thought "why not?" and bought it. IT IS THE EXACT SAME AS F/A 18 SUPER HORNET, at least the missions are. Obviously, the control interface is different, due to the touch screen (although you can still use only the buttons, I do.), but the missions and the physics are exactly the same as F/A 18 Super Hornet. I recently read a review on Amazon on F/A 18 Super Hornet, and the author said that F/A 18 Super Hornet is basically the older F14 Tomcat game, with slight changes and revisions. The reason I point this out is so people don't buy two or all three of these games when they are so similar. If you want one of these three, pick F24 stealth fighter. It has the most updated graphics and physics, which isn't much, HOWEVER; F24 Stealth Fighter AUTOMATICALLY SAVES YOUR PROGRESS AS YOU COMPLETE MISSIONS. F14 Tomcat and F/A 18 Super Hornet rely on the dreaded and outdated password system to save your progress in the game. This statement applies only to the DS platform of F24 Stealth Fighter, I do not know if the GBA platform of F24 automatically saves your progress as the DS version does. Overall, this game is pretty good as a quick pick up and play because of the autosave, as well as solid entertainment for a longer trip. This obviously isn't a flight sim, but it isn't too "cartoonish" either.
