Whether the setting is a work shift at the convenience store or a banquet in the fairy realm, the author has a wonderfully descriptive writing style that puts the reader into the story right beside the characters.

Moving effortlessly across time & space, the author tells a tale that crosses centuries of overlap between Saffron, fairies Li & Ny, and the vampire Jethin. The book is well-paced and hints about the overall relationship between the four main characters keep the reader hungrily reading to find out more as the story unfolds. Tidbits of humor sprinkled throughout, from Saffron's promiscuous co-worker Coco to a delightfully angry married pair of gnomes, help to keep the story fun.

I don't usually read fantasy fiction and as a result wasn't sure how I would like this book, but I was very pleasantly surprised by Fairy Circle. I highly recommend this book and look forward to reading more by Johanna Frappier.

I loved this book. I couldn't put it down. It was so well written. Johanna Frappier has a great great imagination. I could imagine the scenery as I was reading. The detail in this book, was so vivid. It brought me back to my late teen-early twenties. I cannot wait until the next of the series comes out.

A company like Dreamworks would make a fantastic job with this as a script. The writing is masterly and the tension and suspense build at the perfect pace. The author suggests just enough to leave room for our own imaginations to contribute. Highly recommended and passed along to family and friends.

I have to say that I had preconceived ideas about what this book was about and I had to throw them right out the window once I started reading. It is rare to find such a unique story line in this genre. It seems that these days there are so many paranormal books out there that it is inevitable that the premise has been already done at least once or twice. Fairy Circle is it's own genre, it is a category all of it's own and it is beautifully done.
It is rare to find a character as deep as Saffron. She is very introspective and does not share her fears or thoughts easily. So much so that even as the reader I was still trying to figure out through the whole book. This definitely added to wonderful mystery of the story that had me peeling away the layers one by one. I do not write spoilers so I will refrain from going into too much detail and I will leave you with my overall impression that it was a delicate and beautiful read that left me wanting for more.

This book keeps you guessing until the very end and leaves you wanting more. The author has wonderful descriptions and an overall well-written book. It gives a very different idea or twist if you will, on the different magical races, that I was not expecting. Despite the fact that it is not what I expected, I found it a very thrilling and wonderful story and so was very pleasantly surprised :-) I personally also can't wait for the next installment on this wonderful series :-D

I ADORED this book, everything about it just blew me away. There is so much emotion behind the main character, Saffron, that I was whisked away to her world the second I began reading. Not only did I feel her pain, but my heart literally ached for the girl and the unusual situation she had found herself trapped within.
Unlike many books in this genre, I had absolutely no idea which way the story was taking me. It was completely unpredictable, leaving me sitting on the edge of my seat throughout, with my fingers tensed with worry for Saffron.
Johanna Frappier is a fantastic story teller, weaving intricate tales within the story itself, culminating in a nail biting finale... and leaving me desperate for book number two!
I can't wait to read more from this author, and I would highly recommend the Fairy Circle series to EVERYONE!

Johanna Frappier has such a distinctive voice. The main character, Saffron, just leaps off the page in full technicolour - she's quirky and vulnerable, yet she's got sass and feistyness too. Even without the awesomeness of the story, I'd still want to get to know her. Plus, her love interests are all hot!

Saffron sees things that other people don't. It's creepy and terrifying and the intrigue catapulted me through the novel. I love the worlds that the author has created - present, past and magical - they're all interesting and enchanting with an underlying menace that thrills.

Best of all, the story didn't take me where I expected it to go. But now I need the next one in the series. Hurry up, Johanna (no pressure).
