William Statsky is a member of both the Ethics Committee and the Advisor Council for the National Federation of Paralegal Association and is currently an instructor of online courses at Thomas Edison State College based in Trenton, New Jersey. He is the author of numerous legal textbooks for paralegals and was a former member of the Transition Team of then President-Elect Ronald Reagan. Mr. Statsky holds a Master of Law Degree (LL.M) in Urban Affairs and a Juris Doctorate Degree (J. D.) in Law.

textbook for paralegal studies,

As a paralegal studies student, I have found this volume to be very readable and comprehensive in scope. There are explanations and definitions of terms that help to keep the subject from becoming fogged by unclear thinking. Exercises are scattered throughout the book for additional growth in the area--which I haven't had the time to explore, but intend to do so. Additional sites for research are listed should the reader require it. While I doubt that it would be a volume that would stand up to the use of the more experienced practioner of Family Law, it is something that a beginner to less experienced person can use for referral in practice. It is definately an excellent textbook for instruction in my opinion.

I had to buy this book as part of a college course curriculum.
This book was well written and easy to read. I really enjoyed the material covered in the book. Of course, the professor of the course I was taking added a lot of personal material which was extremely helpful, but overall this was a great book for the course. There is definitely room for improvement as there were quite a few grammar and spelling errors in this book as well as two instances of absolutely incorrect legal information concerning family law which the professor had to bring to our attention.
