As a paralegal studies student, I have found this volume to be very readable and comprehensive in scope. There are explanations and definitions of terms that help to keep the subject from becoming fogged by unclear thinking. Exercises are scattered throughout the book for additional growth in the area--which I haven't had the time to explore, but intend to do so. Additional sites for research are listed should the reader require it. While I doubt that it would be a volume that would stand up to the use of the more experienced practioner of Family Law, it is something that a beginner to less experienced person can use for referral in practice. It is definately an excellent textbook for instruction in my opinion.

I had to buy this book as part of a college course curriculum.

This book was well written and easy to read. I really enjoyed the material covered in the book.

Of course, the professor of the course I was taking added a lot of personal material which was extremely helpful, but overall this was a great book for the course.

There is definitely room for improvement as there were quite a few grammar and spelling errors in this book as well as two instances of absolutely incorrect legal information concerning family law which the professor had to bring to our attention.

Very informative. I wish it was paperback instead of hard cover, but it'll do. Book came in good condition with comeplete info and no missing pages.

Overall this book was in better condition than what I expected for the price. And it was a good deal as suppose to the prices some of my other classmates where paying for there books. The book was in excellent condition.

The book was $105 at the used book store. And I got it from Amazon.com for under $30.00 saving of $75.00 and the book was like new.

I needed this book for class and it as great. I want to go on and study family law and this book has a lot of information in that that I will keep it instead of selling it back.

They dont have this book on campus. I was told to go on Amazon. I found it and got it delivered the next day. The book is very interesting and was in Perdect shape.I order all my college books from Amazon.

Book is fairly easy to read, but as someone else noted, graphs and tables are usually on different pages than their page of mention. You are always flipping back and forth for reference.

This book is very good overview of family law, but I would have preferred more tables showing the difference in the individual states laws.
