I am house poor and always looking for a great deal. This was one. The screen was much better than I expected. If you have a concern, it is any shipping damage that may occur. The screen HD-120 is very long. The outer casing could be a bit thicker as it does bend a little while your moving it and mounting it. The weight is about what I expected so there was no surprise there. I had to mount it on an angled ceiling and had to remove the brackets at each end (not an easy thing to do.). It took a plasma cutter and grinder and some paint afterwards but they turned out nicely. I made a small jig to make the brackets for my angled ceiling mounts. I had to change the power cable to make it longer. If I had a complaint it would be this. I wish the controller cables had a plugs on the outer case instead of hard wired. The remotes work ok. The buttons tend to stick when pushed and the RF remote needs a few pushes to get the screen to wake up and do it's thing. The only thing missing is a plug to have the projector control the screen. Not a big deal ... but it would have been nice. My screen is pretty darn straight. I see some complaints here and there on the straightness, but mine was done correctly. I am still working on my media room. Probably will be for some time ... but I consider this aspect done.

The frame is awesome. The picture from the screen seems very good to me. The gain seems okay. From every angle I can see very little difference in gain even from the side so that is awesome. That is the good side of it.

The bad side is that the screen is light plastic. Mine had a crease in the middle and wrinkles along the edges. The rods that pull the screen tight are cheap plastic dowels. And the springs you attach pull the screen no where near tight enough to remove the wrinkles. Fortunately the wrinkles do not seem to show up while the projector is on so it suits my needs for now. But everyone who looks at the screen notices the wrinkles so I am not happy with that.

This is my first projector screen so I am not sure what quality to expect. But I had expected the screen to at least be smooth and flat.

Oh and just for the record Amazon customer service is awesome and I will buy everything through Amazon in the future.

This screen is a great value. i am using it with the Epson 9700ub projector and the image is fantastic! i have been working in the A/V industry for 10 years, and this screen looks as good as any i've seen. my ONLY complaint is that it is very prone to wrinkles/waves. luckily, you Cannot see ANY wrinkles while watching movies with the lights off. simply incredible picture quality. the 1.3 gain gives very good performance in ambient light conditions as well.

I needed a large screen for my presentations. I read the reviews and liked what people where saying about the quality of the unit for the money you paid. I got it today and I'm dissapointed with the build quality. They use really low grade sheet metal for the screen casing and the tripod. And they cheaped out on the parts that do count which include the attachment points (plastic) where the screen attaches to the tripod, including handles, the attachment points for the moving parts like the tripod, etc. I can imagine they also cheaped out on the spring inside that keeps the screen taut and rolls-up the screen. Even the spray paint on the unit is low grade it looks like they used a paint brush to paint it on. If someone is using this as a portable unit for presentations, even if they plan on using it periodically, I can't see how this is going to last. They also ship it in a very long box that is not rigid enough for shipping. When I opened the box, the screen casing was bent, fedex must of dropped it on an object right in the middle of the unit making the casing bend out of shape. I don't think anyone you could make it any cheaper and the company who made it (made in china) should really make it better and charge more if that is what it takes to make a decent product. I would look for something in the $300 to $400 price range for something better if you're looking for a decent product. The Epson Duet 80" screen is amazing quality and is less than $150. I havent seen any design like it (rolls out horizontally not vertically). Too bad they don't make bigger versions of it.

I live in a fairly small apartment(680sq.ft.) and this screen is far to large for my tiny little living room but I dont care! I want the biggest, most rediculous, screen I have ever seen outside the theater. And it's much larger than anything my friends will ever have too!

As for the screen it is a matte white 1.3 gain deal. In other words it's about as reflective as a your standard sheet of paper. I like that because its very similar to what I see at my local Harkins theater. The setup is very easy and there's really no need to go into details on that. You cant screw it up even if you wanted to.

The entire system is up to 8ft tall and 8.25ft wide. It is in the 16:9 widescreen format. The overall height is adjustable though. There is a "sliding" inner pole with a very secure clamp to hold it in the perfect spot for your needs. I have the height marked in two places. Literally! I used a marker to indicate a "high" and "low" overall height of the screen to get around potential obstacles in my media room.

The legs, on the bottom, were a bit of an issue for me because the center leg was pointing straight back pushing the screen much closer to my seating position so I fixed that! There is a small screw on the bottom of the center shaft, that I unscrewd, which allowed me to reverse the feet. Im still far to close to the screen(8.5ft.) but it's about the equivalent of a middle row IMAX theater seat and that's okay with me!

Now I just need my projector! I'v got my eye on the Epson 8350 but im looking into a 3D projector as well. My 60in 3Dtv is awesome and I would love to have a 3D projector to match.

Also the screen reflects the signals from remotes so if your A/V gear is behind you you'll be ok. I was rather surprised when I found this out. A good surprise!
