A few months back we recently purchased a couple Favi electric projector screens online. Honestly never heard of them but we decided to give it a shot because of their money back guarantee...We were really impressed with how the screen performed. I have used all different screen companies for our systems but the motor in the favi's def runs the smoothest of any we ever installed.

Setup: Straight forward instructions. What we really liked was the built-in mounting brackets for both wall and ceiling mounting. Made life a little bit easier allowing for a quick ceiling or wall installation depending on the customer requirement.

Operation: Pretty standard for this type of electric screen with up/down/stop buttons on the main controller and each of the remotes. Pleased it came with both an Infrared Remote (allows you to program to a universal remote) and a RF Remote (goes through walls, allows you to keep the main controller box out of site)

Motor: Smooth/Quiet

Tension: Obviously not a tension screen but motor and a slightly weighted bottom bar perform very nicely together. We all agreed with Favi's assertion that there is no reason to spend extra money on a tension screen.

Material: Gain seemed on par or slightly better than the Elite VMAX and Da-Lite we typically use


IR and RF Remote Operation: Standard, no complaints. Really nice it included 2 remote controls.


Warranty: Typical 1 year warranty


Overall Value: Excellent

Coming from an Audio/Video systems integrator, I highly recommend the favi for anyone looking to purchase an electric projector screen.

This is my first screen, so I can't really compare with others.

It comes with two RC that work great and with the possibility to operate with a wired controles as well. It doesn't go up and down very fast, but I don't need it to be...

Keep in mind that its enclosure has close to 4 EXTRA inches at each side of the screen, so you will need some extra space for its instalation...

I was hesitant in buying a non familiar name FAVI, but by reading the other reviews and what i was looking for, this was the best bet. I was first impressed by the packaging it came in. I read a few reviws where customers boxes were beaten up and not working properly when the item first arrived. but with (retail ace) i was very happy with the packaging. Second, i was impressed by the quality of the product. The motor of the screen is very quiet. Other customers had problems with the motor being too loud, But not with FAVI. After installing the screen (which was very simple) i hooked up my ps3 to it and saw a dramatic difference in the quality. Honestly im very happy with the screen and by purchasing this great screen with such a great price you cant go wrong. Dont get confused by purcashing the $500+ screen when you can get a great product at a great price!!!! MERRY CHRISTMAS!

This screen is a great value. i am using it with the Epson 9700ub projector and the image is fantastic! i have been working in the A/V industry for 10 years, and this screen looks as good as any i've seen. my ONLY complaint is that it is very prone to wrinkles/waves. luckily, you Cannot see ANY wrinkles while watching movies with the lights off. simply incredible picture quality. the 1.3 gain gives very good performance in ambient light conditions as well.

To start with it's a great screen like many others have suggested for a very decent price. Quality of the screen is above expectation. Since most of them have already talked about the quality and price I will focus more on issues one needs to be aware of.
1. Please note that to mount this unit you need 111 inches End to End, this info is in Column M of the Model chart.
- Roof Mount: Considering the weight of this unit you have no option other then fixing them on studs/beams. The support unit has screws only at the ends, so you need to be sure this can be handled while you are mounting.
- Wall Mount: Same issue as above plus the screen rolls down very close to the wall (1/2 inch) so make sure you do not have any obstructions on the wall. In my case I had a closet door so got some L brackets from home depot.

Suggestion for improvement:
- Should provide more secure points or make the design flexible so that it can be easily hooked on the beams/Studs.
- Should be good to include 5 Inch L brackets
- No trigger option.
- If possible reduce the weight of the unit.
- The company selling this units should change the delivery service, delivery guys were careless (I believe some company named Poilet), packing was strong enough to hold the shock, there is no way one can repack this unit if you want to return.

Overall a great product and no regrets buying it. I read some reviews about the ppl paying below 257.00, that would be a steal deal if you get. I had no time to wait so had to buy at 257.00 but stil very happy :)

One more point: You need at least 2 people to install this unit, 3 would be better.

Hey, so we've been looking to buy a projector since a few months now, while browsing for one on amazon my hubby fell asleep on the couch and handed me the laptop and said hey buy it if you like it (as both are pretty techie), I continued the search for a bit and came across this one and decided to order. The order arrived promptly on time with this HUGE box at our front door. We opened it up, and yes, I agree with other reviewers here there are 2 little dents in the center, but nothing that hassled us, you could'nt even see them honestly and we're very picky. We had a friend help us install, it took them 30 mins as they did some fancy stuff like put an electric plug on the ceiling itself etc, so it looks very "wireless". The speed of the screen going up and down was very good. I saw some people complain that it was slow and thought to myself what are they talking about? We watched the 1st movie last night and a much better picture quality than the wall. The box was so huge we had to cut it up so that it would fit in the recycle box!!

This screen was easy to install and is very quiet.
My screen came double boxed ordered through Amazon, I think it's double boxed all the way from the manufacturer though.

**Only complaint is that the screen is not perfectly square at the bottom. My image is square at the top, but the bottom is about an inch off on one side.**

1)The power cable is about 7 ft long

2)About 3 ft from the screen inline with the power chord is the controller and remote receiver (this is easily spliced and extended it's maybe 20 gauge 4 conductor wire(definitely no larger than 16 gauge)

3)Top and bottom limit adjustment are easy, comes with a tool to adjust

4)The RF remote has about a 90ft range (RF allows you to hide the receiver in ceiling or different room)

5)I didn't try the IR remote I'm sure it works fine, but I hid my receiver in the baptistry area behind the screen.

6)Mounted in ceiling to 1x4" lathing with 3"x1/4" bolts with fender washers and locking nuts (to ensure nuts stay put if the motor causes any vibration)

I just installed this screen with a Epson 8350 projector. It works great and looks great and is an incredible value. I got mine for slightly less money from retail ace when Amazon was out of stock, happy with them.

This has a gain of 1.3 on white screen material. Perfect for most situations. It moves up and down at a very reasonable speed, any faster and it could risk not rolling up properly. It comes with both an IR and RF remote (with extra battery). I have had no issues with it at all.

I did a ceiling mount. There are just two screws needed on each end (with a center one if needed to ensure strong hold of the other two screws which have slots in them). For ceiling mounting where you are using joists rather than studs and those are often not as wide as they are oriented the other direction than studs are I would strongly suggest first installing another piece of wood to the joist then the projector to the wood. In my case with a white ceiling I bought a 5 inch wide by 1/2 inch thick piece of wood sold at home improvement stores like Home Depot. This cost about 10 bucks and comes pre-finished in which to match ceiling and screen casing. Looks great. That way you can get at least one strong screw in to the joist and have plenty of wood to mount the screen to. The joist is not likely to run 100% straight and the wood gives you extra room for making sure the screen is mounted perfectly perpendicular to the projector. It looks clean and is very strong.

Since this comes with an RF remote as well as an IR remote one can choose to do an install locating the control box and cord inside a wall and have the RF remote reach through, in my case I did not want in wall wiring and chose to use plastic conduit for a clean looking install. The only "flaw" I can see is that right now the outer edges of the screen are slightly curled, may go away with use, this does not affect the picture at all and the screen material is totally flat with no creases or defects. It looks excellent.

With the two remotes plus the control box that is inline with the power cord one has multiple ways to operate the screen.
It is easily adjustable for both where the screen stop is dropping down as well as rolling up, though mine was just about right out of the box.

Can not beat it for the price.

Ok I'm going to start by saying I don't write reviews often but i had to let everyone know how great it really is. I always wanted an electric but I couldn't bring myself to spend $800-900 on one when my fixed screen (which I had to put up and take out every time to watch a movie) worked just fine. But just for fun i looked on amazon and found this one for $198 DELIVERED! they had to send a big Diesel truck to my front door. Now onto the screen it self, setup couldn't be easier I personally rewired the control so it was recessed into the wall with no wires showing. Its super easy to get adjusted to stop right where its supposed to. And the material is very nice my movies actually look clearer than ive ever seen for a SD home projector. Why spend more! And yes i would recommend this to a friend and actually have.
