FAVI TV, May 25, 2010
Love it. First saw the TV in an email from Amazon. Initially ignored, as I tend to steer clear of such "too good to be true" offers, but I kept going back to this offer, and finally went for it and purchased the white model. I'm so glad I did. TV picture is crystal clear and a joy to watch. Audio is clear. Setup in about 2 minutes flat. Super narrow profile, and lightweight, and looks good too. Have not found the code for the FAVI brand yet to program into my universal remote, so I am using 2 remote controls. And everyone who has seen it (frequent visitor traffic through living room to my son's room) stops and remarks "Good looking TV. Great picture."

Excellent Purchase!, September 7, 2010
This review is from: FAVI L4226EA-BL 42-Inch 1080p 120 Hz LCD HDTV, Jet Black (Electronics)
I purchased this television about 4 months ago and I absolutely LOVE it! The picture quality is great and it will adjust to the best quality for the channel or movie you may be watching. When I watch Blu-Ray vs. DVD discs, the picture quality automatically adjusts and there is a noticeable difference. The setup is also nice. The stand swivels so that you can turn the television to access the input connections in the rear of the television easily. There are multiple input connections so you have enough of them to connect all of your DVD, Blu-Ray, gaming, and cable essentials. The LCD screen is amazing compared to the standard television. It actually took me a while to get used to the lighting because the difference was that noticeable. It gives one of the clearest pictures I have seen, and I shopped around for a while before finally purchasing this television. The price is unbelievable for the quality!
Another thing that many people seem to be upset about is that it will not work with their satellite remote because there is not a code for it. There is a way around this. If you connect your audio cables from the television to your cable or satellite box, you can use the sound feature on your cable or satellite remote. This especially works well when you add surround sound, because all you need to do is connect the surround sound to your cable or satellite box and then connect the box to the television using audio cables. You will need to turn the sound on the television down with the Favi remote, and then you will be able to use your cable or satellite box remote instead. In addition, if you have a HDMI connection on your cable or satellite box, you can use that instead of the audio cables. I have been doing this and I have not had any problems with it!
Update- 4/23/2011
The TV is still working great! I have not had any issues with it and I have even moved since my last review. I did want to mention that since the warranty on this product is only one year and I believe only 90 days for full service, I would suggest getting an extended warranty through Squaretrade. When I purchased the TV, I also purchased a 3-year warranty through Squaretrade. They have a full replacement policy and I like the security of the extra warranty. (You can purchase this through Amazon too!)

update, March 9, 2011
This review is from: FAVI L4226EA-BL 42-Inch 1080p 120 Hz LCD HDTV, Jet Black (Electronics)
Purchased this TV as a Christmas present for my family. Shipping was fast and TV arrived in perfect shape. Once installed, picture was great. After 45 days, the screen has developed a 10 inch line across the upper third, resembles a bar code. It looks as if the line is slowly moving down. I have been unable to find a telephone number for tech support. I did find a e-mail address and I am waiting a response. I feel purchasing a new TV would be better than trying to repair this one.
Update
Contacted tech support by e-mail twice, no phone number listed, never got a reply. This was March 15, I guess this is a lost cause.
UPDATE
Favi sent me a new or refurbished mine, paid for the shipping both ways. Had it in the box for 6 weeks until I got someone to swap it out. On Friday July 15, picture started flickering, Saturday, no picture at all. I really don't want another Favi TV, even if they offer one. I guess I am just out the money. Will post if I get a refund of any kind.
