This doesn't mean this is a bad book. The book has a lot information about getting a job in the agency. My view is that the information is about the same you can get in the internet. I was hoping for more. If you don't know anything about the FBI this is your book. If you want specific information don't waste your money on it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Informative, April 13, 2011

Wonderful at breaking down the basics of what is expected and searched for in a candidate for the FBI. I would have liked to read more about what a person could do to stand out from the next. This is a highly competitive bureau to get into, as the book also states. Given how difficult it is, a chapter in what one could do to become more marketable would have given this book five stars.
Regardless of that gap this book is helpful. Knowing the history of the insitution that you're trying to get into is very important, along with a real description of what the job entails. I think people get the misguided belief that they can walk right into the FBI as a special agent. I too assumed this to a point and this book put a correction to how they operate filling their positions and what the requirements are.
If you hold a curiousity about getting into the FBI, the cost of this book is not a waste in my opinion. Just don't buy it new.
