My boyfriend and I initially used male condoms, but had a couple incidences where a male condom slipped off during sex. We've switched to female condoms and since then there's been no slipping.

Once I had the FC2 inserted correctly, it was totally comfortable. I couldn't even feel it during sex - it felt like we were having sex without a condom. The nitrile material warms to your skin, thus it feels more natural than latex. The outer ring can stimulate a woman's clitoris, an added perk for women. My boyfriend commented that there is much more sensation for a man when using a female condom than when using a male condom.

FC2 has always stayed in place for us.

I don't know what people are talking about about a "crinkly sound". We have never experienced this. I should note that we also use a lot of good quality, silicone lube during sex, so maybe this extra lubrication helps.

I have to note, it definitely takes some practice to get the female condom inserted correctly. Thus, I highly recommend starting using FC2 while you are still on another contraceptive, such as the pill or IUD, or if not, then practicing on your own inserting and removing the FC2 before you try it out during sex.

Also, if you are the woman inserting it in yourself, you need to be very comfortable inserting something into your vagina and basically knowledgeable about what the inside of your vagina looks like - i.e. where your pubic bone is (if you insert your finger and make a "come here" beckoning motion towards the front wall of your vagina, you should feel the curvature of the pubic bone) and know where your cervix is (it feels like the tip of your nose when you're touching it)
The inner ring should be inserted past the pubic bone and cover the cervix.

After hearing about the female condom I thought I would give them a try. I found them to be great!!! And my boyfriend loved them. It takes a bit of practice to get them inserted correctly, but once in place the party begins. You want to be sure that the smaller ring (which is the side inserted into the vagina) opens up and is not folded. Note: Besure to use lubrication upon insertion of the penis. Though they come lubricated, a little extra makes all the difference.

Both my wife and I wanted her to be off the pill. Being of pre-menapausal age, we needed some method of birth control. So we went to the standard stand-by's, condoms. We tried the crown condoms, the trojan female pleasure ones, and one more that I can't remember.

From a guy's standpoint, male condoms fit like a glove. That means it takes away much of the sensations of sex. I would estimate it takes away 50% to 60% of the feel making it that much less pleasurable.

These female condoms give back the feeling. I estimate that it only takes away 10% of the feel. But it's not without some drawbacks.

The first drawback is that we have to stop to take the time to put this thing in her. If you don't get the inner ring in far enough, you can feel it during sex. So we have to take the time to get this in correctly.

Secondly, this thing is dipped in lube. It's slimy holding it and inserting it. I'm sure that's a good thing on her side as it goes in easily enough. But I feel that I have to wipe my hands after inserting it because it is so slimy. But it's not slimy enough on the inside. I found that I have to use more lube on the inside to get it just right.

Besides that, I'm very happy. Wife reports that it feels more natural than the male condoms as well. So both of us have increased feel. Why aren't these more popular than regular condoms? I don't know, but I'm telling all my male friends about them. They are far, far, far better than male condoms.

These things are great!
They're slightly tricky to put in the first time or two (they're slippery on the outside and require some patience), but once you get some practice, all you have to do is slide it in, arrange the outer ring, lube up, and you're ready to go! I can't feel it at all once it's in there. It's not noisy at all, and he can't feel it.
It's nice to not have to worry about male condoms sliding off or breaking or ruining an erection.

I've always had major issues with condoms, because they kill about 80% of the sensation, to the point where there have been times when I'd rather just not have sex because it was kinda pointless. I tried the much-praised Crown condoms (which didn't fit my unusual girth), the thin Kimonos (not much better than any other kind), Lifestyles Ultra Thin (also about the same as others), and the purple-packaged Durex (which were the best), but none of them came anywhere close to female condoms. In my experience, women tend to not understand just how much sensation a guy can lose from a male condom; sure, they lose some feeling too, but it's a huge loss for the guy. Female condoms fix that for both partners.

Using lots of lube, female condoms feel maybe only 10-15% different from not using anything. It really is pretty spectacular compared to male condoms! I'm rather blown away by how close they come to "the real thing". I've been spreading the gospel, so to speak, and trying to make converts of the men and women I know. I gave a female condom to a friend and she said that her boyfriend pulled out at the end because the sensation was so much like condom-less sex that he wasn't sure that the condom was really there!

I've never heard any "crinkling" sounds at all. The only disadvantage of these, other than the price, is that they do look kinda weird when in place. But everything else about them is fantastic. Aside from the massively better sensation, it's nice that you can just leave the condom in and come back after taking a break during a long session.

Seriously, you really need to try these! Ignore the "pre-lubricated" bit on the package, as much more is needed, but you're otherwise good to go once you figure out the placement procedure.
