5.0 out of 5 stars smells better than the OEM
Bought this for a 2005 Toyota Corolla. Fits perfectly and has a nice Arm & Hammer smell to it. Much better than the OEM, and for the price, it can't be beat from Amazon. Easy to install. It took less than 5 minutes, and that includes cleaning out the glove compartment.

3.0 out of 5 stars Up or down? They won't tell you!
I'd love to use this properly on my 2007 Toyota Corolla. But the instructions included in the box do NOT specify whether you need to install this with the arrow pointing up, or down. The OEM filter had an arrow pointing up, with the words "this way up". This FRAM filter, however, just has an arrow that says "air flow." So, does that mean up or down? Given the looks of...

I have a 2008 Corolla, and the dealer wanted to charge $62 extra on top of my usual service fees. I was astounded, thinking, "for an air filter?" and actually asked them if they were kidding. Anyway, I told them to forget it and that I would figure out a way to get it changed on my own. I'm a woman, so you can only imagine the side-eyeing I was getting from them. Anyway, I came home, got online, and realized these things are unbelievably easy to change on your own. All I needed was a screwdriver to remove the glove box. This filter is a perfect fit in my Corolla and took me at most 5 minutes to change.

I'm pretty sure there are some opiates in this cabin air filter. Every time I get in my car I turn up the air and get whisked away into a land of dancing unicorns and flying apricots.

This may be the easiest maintaince you do on your car. Takes about 5 minutes to do. Dealer will charge you about $50 to do it, with this you can do it for less than a third of that. The filter itself has worked as well as any any of the others we've used so far. (we've had them for about a month and a half)

Outstanding product. Works well. Great components. High quality material. I wish the filter was white instead of charcoal so you could see the amount of dirt better.

Changed mine in my 08 Corolla after 25k miles with the stock filter and it was VERY VERY DIRTY. Good quality filter. No complaints or problems. Why not snag one on amazon and save a few bucks?

VERY EASY to change. Don't let the dealer change it. I've done this with 3 different cars and it takes 10 minutes MAX! By how dirty mine was I'd definitely recommend changing it every 12-15k miles.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fits 2007 Toyota Corolla, October 29, 2011

Well this fit my 2007 Toyota Corolla just fine. The air smelt better but that's probably because my old one was pretty dirty. I think it smelt a little strange at first. It doesn't really clean the air or make it smell fresh. Maybe it did at first but it didn't last long. Anyway, you should change your cabin air filter if you notice it smelling weird in your car. It will probably help.

Given the looks of the older filter, the air flow points down. So I should put the FRAM filter with the arrow pointing down, right? However, the side pointing away from the arrow on the FRAM filter really looks like the charcoal dusty type of side that needs to be pointed AWAY from the passengers. Hmmmm. Anyway, it took me less than 2 minutes to install this, but I was left hanging for over 10 minutes in the car trying to figure out which way to install it. I went and checked FRAM's website and looked at two of their videos, each of which lasted over 4 minutes. I watched them all the way to the end, hoping to get clarification. But they did not give me the any clue as to whether it should be up or down! I went to their FAQ page, and still no clear answer. I called their customer service, and they said they'd get back to me on a business day. I waited for their call, but it never came. Oh well. I guess I have a 50/50 chance that I installed it in the right direction, with the arrow pointing downward this time in the same direction of the airflow, and not up, which was the same direction that the OEM filter had.
Somebody at FRAM should make this clearer for their customers!
