5.0 out of 5 stars Great
This is a great book with many sample tests that can be very helpful for the EIT examinations. I haven't taken all the engineering courses, but this helped me know what I did not even know for the exam.

CONS-

1. This is the THIRD printing of this book and it is still chalk full of errors. If you go to the website www.ppi2pass.com to look at the errata they only have it for the first printing so all those errors were alraedy picked up. THE LAST TIME THEY UPDATED THAT WAS IN 2003!!

2. The solutions to the problems are meger at best. Problems are solved out but nothing in depthly. This book is good for a quick reference guide but DO NOT USE IT AS YOUR MAIN STUDY BOOK!

3. THERE IS STILL ERRORS IN A THIRD EDITION!

5.0 out of 5 stars Do a simulation test before you go, July 24, 2001

This book provides very good simulation exams for the General FE test. Although you will not expect the same problems may appear by any chance in your real FE exam, it really helps to do these simulations before you go to the test. The problems help you to review all the knowledge you need to know (at least where you can find it in the standard reference book) for the test. If you mean to pass the exam at the first time, you need to do this.

5.0 out of 5 stars accurate to the real exam, November 6, 2007
This review is from: FE/EIT Sample Examinations, 2nd Edition (Paperback)
This book was very helpful in wrapping up my studying during the couple of weeks before the FE exam. The real exam was in the exact same format (including order of topics) as the sample exams in this book. Additionally, this book is the only one I found that contained the Biology section recently added to the afternoon session of the general exam. This book was well, well worth the money.

3.0 out of 5 stars Typos galore, May 25, 2007

There were a lot of typos and errors that I noticed. Many problems in the review were more complicated than what is actually on the exam. Know that it is not a review of the subjects, it's just example tests with sketchy solutions- not all of which are correct.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Book for rapid reading, August 13, 2002
This book is likely to help a lot even if you have little time for prep. The tpoics are well covered and the examples adequetely solved. I do wish there were more structure problems solved.
Can Buy.

4.0 out of 5 stars Just took my exam, April 28, 2010

This book was not bad. It is quite large to carry around, but that's not really such a big issue. It is meant to prepare you for the "other disciplines" afternoon test and the general morning exam. If you are using this book to just study for the morning section, remember to ignore certain concepts. Print out the topic breakdown from the NCEES website and use that to decide which topics to skip. For instance, Biology is not on the morning section.

Some sections present problems that are a bit harder than what you will see on the morning section of the exam. Again, the main issue with this book is it does not separate the review for morning and afternoon sections, so in order to just cover the simpler material for the morning exam, one might have to make decisions about what material is unnecessary to study. It is possible to make that sort of judgment call, but this is not really the job of the studier to take care of this. It should be broken down by the author for the reader's convenience. I believe if you use this book, and you go through every section, do the practice problems and sample exams, and go back and do the diagnostics at the beginning of each section afterward, you will be prepared to do well on the morning section. Again, the book is decent and is pretty much all that I found was available for the FE exam. There is a limited selection of review material.

This is better than the full version if you are above average student. If you understand basic engineering all you need is a practice test from this book to pass the FE exam

5.0 out of 5 stars Great!, May 7, 2009
This review is from: FE/EIT Sample Examinations, 2nd Edition (Paperback)
I had to take the FE on my senior year in college. I didn't know how to study since there was so much material to review. A friend recommended this book. It helped a lot. I only had to study for 3 days.

4.0 out of 5 stars Review book, December 30, 2007
This review is from: FE/EIT Sample Examinations, 2nd Edition (Paperback)
Very good book for review. from what i hear this book gives difficult question so you can study better for the test. Great as a supplement to a course. Haven't taken the test yet, hope it turns out good. one note, the book's answer are often wrong in certain sections.
