Facts AND Fiction!,

This book is a ripper. I can't believe I've only just discovered Helen Garner's short stories. I call them 'faction' because they're based on truth, but written so beautifully that they poetically transcend non-fiction. I used to write short stories all the time, but haven't for many years. Now, having read this book, I'm thinking about it again. It's a must, therefore, for jaded writers. And if you're already in the groove, this fine collection will surely inspire. Thank you, Helen! :)
