Professional results in less time!,
By
This review is from: FEIYUE YAMATA Family Press FP202L 1600 Watt 32" x 10" Fabric Steam Press
I purchased the 32" model, after reading reviews that complaint about the small steam area in some other models. After using this steam press for 4 loads of mixed family laundry I am truly impressed. At first, I had to get used to placing the items on the press correctly, but once I learned how, my husband's pants took only 4 presses to get professional looking results. The secret to cutting the number of presses on thick clothing down is to use the water bottle in addition to the steam from the press. On my children's clothes, 2 presses on one side of the fabric is all that is required. I love this machine, and my husband was sceptical at first for spending over $200, but after he saw his pants and shirts neatly pressed, he agreed that it was a purchase worth while.

The steam press is a great item. A bit pricey, but the convenience is worth it. We bought this unit to make ironing school clothes go faster, and maybe even press some of my husband's work shirts. The unit is well made, and heats up evenly and fast. The steam reservoir is generous and provides a nice burst of steam- really helps to get the wrinkles out!
Kids cotton shirts come out great- just two presses (I can only fit 1/2 the shirt on the press at a time)with a bit of starch and they go to school looking neat. Pants are still a bit of trouble- especially in the seat area. I like to press the legs and then iron the rest. As with typing... practice makes perfect. I know in a few more days I will have it down to a science. The unit is heavy and well balanced, but does tip when applying the lock for the press. It may be worthwhile to invest in the customized stand.

I too LOVED this machine for the two months it worked. After two months it wouldn't heat anymore. The manufacturer was willing to repair but it would cost almost $100 to get it shipped to them DHL and another $35 they charge to ship it back. (saving the original box would have cut my cost to ship it to them by about $20). That would almost pay for a new one. I will look for a different brand this time.

I too loved the steam press at first! Then as posted on another review I went to turn it on and it didn't heat up. Of course the seller(unbeatable sale, inc.) couldn't help, and the manufac. does want us to pay shipping! Which is nuts! Do not buy this product it doesn't last. It is putting $200.00 in the trash!

DON'T BUY IT,
This review is from: FEIYUE YAMATA Family Press FP202L 1600 Watt 32" x 10" Fabric Steam Press
I brought the Feiyue Yamata Family Press FP202L 1600 Watt 32" at $254.18 dollars, it worked for about 4 months very well then it stopped heating up, I called the manufacture (Family Press) numberous times & Unbeatable Sale Inc. and no one could help me. I kept on getting different excuses about the mechanics of the machine and how it was not under covered for that particular part, needless to say the manufacture was no help AT ALL.
First of all I could not understand anyone I spoke too, they did not speak very good English, then they had me take the press completely apart to find a fuse that was not in the machine, then he told me or at least that is what I understood that the fuse was only guaranteed for 90 days and that most of the parts where only for 90 days, except the machine itself was guarenteed for 1 year (you figure that out), I know it didn't make any sense to me either. Then I was going to send it back to the manufacture only to find out they DON'T STAND BY THEIR PRODUCT IN ANY WAY, they say they do but DON'T, they wanted me to ship it to them which would have cost over $120.00 dollars and then I had to pay for shipping on the way back, I have been in business for over 30 years and never had a customer pay for shipping no less both ways. I can't put into words how fustrating this machine has been in the past month, trying to get it fixed by a local appliance men who won't even touch it or know nothing about the press. Family Press did make a suggestion to bring it to my nearest repair shop which was 1 full state away, I live in New Jersey and they wanted me to bring this piece of JUNK to New York City Or Penn., can you believe this, just when you think it can't get any worse it does. I have never wrote a review for any product before (good or bad) and I took the time for this one. I hope I can help anyone else to NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT, look else where. I have had it in my van for over a month trying to figure out what I can do to get this piece of junk fixed. I have now given up and I have realized I throw $254.18 down the toilet. If anyone needs more information about this product you can get in touch with me, or if anyone can help me get my machine fixed properly or get my money back PLEASE HELP ME, I'm desperate.

Worked for a week,
This review is from: FEIYUE YAMATA Family Press FP202L 1600 Watt 32" x 10" Fabric Steam Press
The press worked for about a week. Then an alarm sounded that would not shut off. I sent the unit back to FEIYUE and after struggling to understand the tech rep that was not proficient in English, he told me they could find nothing wrong with the unit. They sent it back (I had to pay packaging) and when I got it I attempted to use and it didn't heat up at all. So I contacted them again and their position is: we couldn't find anything wrong so too bad. I would avoid this product and the company. Buyer beware!

I cannot be any more succinct than that. Bought this at the beginning of the year. Then yesterday it started giving out very fine smoke - the kind that you see when electrical equipment is burning....then it would not heat up.
After looking through the reviews, it looks like a waste of time to get a repair or refund. And you can forget about getting any type of help from Unbeatable Sales...or as my friend refers to them..."Unbeatable Scams". Looks like it's time for the Miele rotary press.

I too enjoyed my press, until it also stopped working. We sent it back and they said it was damaged when it was shipped back and wouldn't fix it. I had them ship it back to me and they shipped me the wrong press! It was much older and was black and silver, not white. I do not recommend this company for presses.

I was so looking forward to having an iron press for pressing shirts, pants and the silk draperies I made for my baby. I chose this press because it offered one of the largest iron areas in this price range. Sadly, this press was very disappointing. It did not have enough heating power to press linen. Cotton and linen clothes never looked crisp, just sort of de-wrinkled. The silk setting was also too weak for the silk draperies so I had to use the cotton setting instead. To add to my disappointment, this iron press stopped heating completely after two months. I have to take it to a repair center 90 miles away to have it diagnosed and repaired at my own expense because the warranty is only good for 90 days from the time of purchase and I am just several days outside of that window. This product performs poorly, has a faulty design (other reviewers seem to have exactly the same problem) and is very challenging to service. Needless to say, I will not buy this again and wish that I had not wasted my money.
