The fit and finish is excellent and feels very sturdy.

This light is great for walking at night when you want to see your path, especially outdoors when you have to worry about tripping or low branches.

It's surprisingly bright, light, and super useful since it takes AA batteries.

I liked my E21 so much, I ordered another from a 3rd party seller here. But the E25 arrived as an "upgrade" after the E21 was suddenly out of stock , so I put it side-by-side with my existing E21 for a direct comparison.

Even though they are very similar in size and build and in the same Fenix product line, they are wildly different flashlights.

E25 Pros:
* shorter length than E21 means it is a bit less bulky
* remembers the last beam setting on next turn on

E25 Cons:
* noticeably weaker hi-beam after shining on same spot from 5ft and 20ft (even though it says 187 lumens vs E21's 157 lumens)
* gets hotter after minimal use of hi-beam (even though its weaker!)
* side button is very wonky when turning on/off (press and hold), compared to other Fenix units
* annoying when laying it on a flat surface, as the "nubs" on the side button causes it to roll if you lay it on that side

I greatly prefer the "thumb friendly" on/off switch on the end cap on the E21 - and having them side-by-side, I am constantly find myself incorrectly thumbing the end cap of E25 to turn it on. Combined with the fact the E21's 157 lumens greatly outshines the E25 seals it -- I'm returning the E25 for a refund and getting the 5-star E21 again.

I'm using this as an emergency light in my car. It's surprisingly bright, light, and super useful since it takes AA batteries.
Using the side button takes some getting used to, but it's not that hard. Press-and-hold to turn on/off while a press-and-release will toggle the brightness.

Things to note:
If you use the lanyard, the bottom is no longer flat and you can't stand it up.
The reflector is built more for long throw than for even wide flood.

Flashlight stopped working after 1 week. Much brighter flashlights available then this one. Would recommend anyone purchase another flash light.

I liked the tail switch on the E21 better than this switch. But the light is still built solid and it works well in a different way.

My step-dad recently told me that he loves this flashlight. It has become his daily use flashlight. He works on copy machines and constantly needs a light. The different settings are great for him so he can turn down the lumens when using it in an office.
Also, the fact that it runs off AA batteries is a big plus. Only RC and flashlight enthusiasts have 18650's or cr123's on stock.

One downside for him is that the power button is on the side and occasionally will get triggered while in its pouch. It will then get very hot. High end flashlights like this are not meant to be run for hours on end.

I have a different Fenix light and can vouch for Fenix quality.

This is my go-to light at work. I carry it everywhere. I just can't justify spending $150 on a Streamlight Stinger when this light works just as good.

I have a lot of fenix lights. I bought this one to have as a "beater" light and it works perfectly, lasts long on 2300mah rechargable NiMh batteries, and has most of the same qualities as more expensive fenix lights. Get it if you want it.
