This product works better than any other supplement for iron. I have Crohn's disease, making absorption of vitamins difficult and exercise painful at times. However, this liquid form (when taken in a 4-6 oz glass of orange juice) is absorbed quickly and easily. Do NOT take with vitamin D or within 30 min of caffeine or it WILL NOT be absorbed. To avoid tooth staining, use a baking soda based toothpaste.

As an active runner, (6 days a week, sometimes doubles) I've ran into an issue with low iron due to a less than adequate consumption of iron filled food items. Bordering along the lines of anemia, my workouts were sluggish and I tired quickly. I was given the recommendation to take a liquid iron supplement over tablets. After taking the suggested daily intake for about a little over a week, I was already seeing more progress in my body.
