I have been anemic for years and never had any success with iron supplements. After taking 1 tsp a day for 6 weeks my iron increased from 37 to 39. I do notice when I forget to take a dose. The next day I feel tired again. I won't say that I have tons of energy since I started taking this, but I will say that I am not as tired as I once was.
The bottle says "do not take Ferrous Sulfate within 1 hour before or 2 hours after antacids, eggs, milk, milk byproducts, coffee, or tea." It is hard to take this within thse parameters, but if not, it's just a waste of money. So I usually take my dose at night with a few ounces of orange juice as vitamin C aids in iron absorption.

Great price for this Elixir. If you need to take this just stock up and keep in a cool place. I buy 4 at a time and the savings is huge comnpared to drugstore prices.
