5.0 out of 5 stars Best dryer I have ever used!!
I am a professional out doing hair pretty much all week long. I have tried the T3 featherweight( loved it but it died) the T3 evolution( have never loved it as much as the original featherweight) all the Chi dryers ( they are ok), and countless others over the years. This by far is the best for power, anti-frizz, and body that I have ever used!!!! I used it this am before...

1.0 out of 5 stars DON'T BUY - NO HEAT!
I saw the other reviews which listed this problem, but thought I would try it anyway since my stylist recommended this brand. I am returning it because the dryer produced no heat. I played with the controls, tried it on several different days and even in different outlets but it never produced heat. Luckily I still had my Old Faithful $20 Scunci dryer which has lasted...

I used it this am before dropping my daughter off to daycare and a girl commented " Love your hair did you just get it done??" LOL and the best part is that its raining today and super humid. Now granted I am a pro, and know how to give myself a great blowout, but on super humid days I need to reblow the front around my face again....not today. This is superior to any of the above mentioned dryers.....you will love it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic hair dryer, January 4, 2010

I recentley purchased this hair dryer for my wife as a christmas present. She had a Chi dryer prior to this one for about 2 years but her dryer bit the dust. Both her and I were amazed by how well the FHI dryer out performed the Chi. She has very fine hair and with the Chi dryer she would always get "fly away hair". Not only has the FHI dryer eliminated her "Fly away hair" but her hair now has a beautiful silky sheen to it. With out a doubt this is a top notch product and I would highly recomend this product to anyone looking for a high quality hair dryer.

This is an 1800 watt hair dryer, with 3 heat selections, 2 speeds, and a cool shot button which really should be called a cold shot. Attachments include a diffuser and a concentrator. I can't comment on the concentrator because it's not an attachment I use. One of these days I may try it for a straightening blowout. The cool shot button is not a press and hold like other dryers I've had, it's an on/off, and other than feeling the cold air coming out, you can't visibly tell whether it's on or off. With cool shot off, the "Cool" setting is rather cool. Some have commented it's quieter than other dryers, and it may be, but for me it's not. The last one I had was a Conair which I think could've been a "quiet" model, and I'd say it's comparable to that one. I'm not sure it's possible to make a really quiet, powerful, 1800 watt hair dryer, but this one is not too loud.

My hair is wavy to curly, a little thicker than average, and somewhat coarse but not very, it actually varies in texture - I can find some hairs that are very coarse and curly, others that feel almost fine and straighter. See my pics in the image gallery for what my hair actually looks like, and dried with this hair dryer.

I start off on High heat/High fan speed, with the diffuser, and am able to dry my hair in under 10 mins, towards the end decreasing to Warm/Low. I decided to try drying my hair from absolute soaking wet, with a little gel, and it was dry in 10 mins. With the normal towel drying to get the excess water out - 5-7 mins. And the best part I didn't feel like I was burning my scalp or my hair, was able to use the High/High setting longer, and never started sweating from all the heat I normally get from a dryer.

I was one of those a little reluctant to spend more than the $20-$25 I usually spend on a dryer, but when my last Conair died, and my "backup" hair dryer left my hair in a frizz, I started shopping on here. The reviews convinced me to try this more expensive but still affordable hair dryer, and I am so very glad I did! I only regret I didn't look for this sooner!

This product is awesome!! I went searching for days looking for the right product for my hair and came across this one accidentally. After reading the reviews (one of my favorites was "happy wife, happy life") I decided to purchase the product. My hair is very fine and over processed from coloring. I always need to straighten it after blow drying and I wanted a product that would protect my hair and dry it quickly. This hair drier does the trick for sure! Although a bit heavy (probably my only complaint) it blow drys my hair in record speed and leaves it silky and smooth and with volume! My hair doesn't feel over processed and frizzy and it actually looks good enough that I dont have to put a straightener to it unless I want to. I am very impressed with this product and I would definitely recommend it to others searching for a blow drier as will keep your hair healthy and cut your dry time in half. I also recommend getting a leave in conditioner called its a 10 miracle product which was recommend by my hair salon to put in your hair before drying which is awesome at keeping your hair protected daily especially when blow drying. =)

5.0 out of 5 stars My hair has never looked so great!!, January 15, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: FHI Heat Nano Salon Pro 2000 Dryer (Misc.)
I purchased this dryer on the advice of my hair stylist. She raved about it, and I decided to give it a try. I didn't expect anything stellar, really. I have dry, short, straight, lifeless, dull hair. I'm not being hard on myself, this is just the way it is. And so while I hoped the dryer would help a little, I did not have unreasonable expectations that it would produce beautiful hair. Well, was I ever surprised. I could tell from the very first time I used the dryer that my hair was different. I have to say, my hair looks amazing!! Here is the down and dirty:

1--This dryer cuts down drying time by about half in my case. It is very powerful, got me going at least 10 minutes quicker in the morning.

2--My hair holds the style all day long. This is quite amazing, I've never had that with any other dryer or styling product. I am using the same product as always, the only thing different is the dryer. So I can only credit this to the FHI.

3--It does not come with great directions. i think you can get some help from the website. But I ended up calling them with a question, and their customer service was great. My problem was the cool shot button. Every other dryer I've ever had that featured a cool button worked by holding down the button to get cool air flow, then releasing button to reactivate the heat. But this dryer is different. You click the cool shot button, the cool air flows until you click it again. Needless to say, I was unable to figure this out on my own, but the customer service person helped me out quickly.

4--My daughter has long, thick and slightly curly hair. She tried the dryer this morning and her hair looked amazing.

All in all, I am extremely happy with this purchase. The price is really great, the dryer is even better than I could have hoped for. And my hair looks really cute!! Color me happy!!

I played with the controls, tried it on several different days and even in different outlets but it never produced heat. Luckily I still had my Old Faithful $20 Scunci dryer which has lasted me over 10 years now. Additionally, this dryer was as heavy as my Scunci and louder. Bad product all around - don't bother!

I purchased this about 4 months ago. I don't like to write a review until I have used the product for a good amount of time. I love this dryer! I use every day and it has made my morning routine so much more pleasant. Most hair dryers took forever to dry my thick, long curly hair with a diffuser attachment. This dryer works wonders in less than 10 minutes. It is fairly lightweight for such a powerful dryer. One other review mentioned that the buttons are in an inconvenient place so that you often change the settings while you are holding the dryer and that is true. Not a huge problem but definitely an improvement that could be made. The long cord is awesome too. I would recommend this dryer and the price offered by this seller makes it even better! I would have definitely paid even more for this dryer - definitely worth it.

All my life, I've used hair dryers simply to dry my hair, not to style it. The reason is that every time I tried to style my hair with a blow dryer, it never looked good. So why bother, I thought. Then I discovered this amazing little contraption! It dries my hair in just a few minutes, when it used to take about fifteen minutes. And it simultaneously smooths and volumizes my hair. I actually like the effect better than what my wonderful hairdresser does. It sounds ridiculous to say a hair dryer has changed my life -- I mean, it's just hair. But this hair dryer has enabled me to save time and look soooo much better than before. Worth every penny.

5.0 out of 5 stars Not your average drugstore hair dryer, November 9, 2009

I bought one of these for my 18 year old daughter who's living in LA and she loves it. I asked her what set it apart from the cheapo hair dryers we have used up til now and she replied that it was very quiet, it dried her hair very fast and she liked the way her hair looked when she was done. I think I scored some serious dad points with this purchase. I may get one for my wife :-).

UPDATE 12-21-11 - I've had this thing for over 2 years now and it is just as great as the day I bought it. I use it probably 4 or 5 days a week and I have dropped it a fair share of times. I especially love the easy to clean lint trap. Definitely worth the price I paid.
________

I always thought air was just air. Hot, cold, warm...whatever, it's all doing the same thing, right? Well, I'm happy to be wrong! I've got a lot of very long hair that isn't very thick, but still likes to do its own thing. I saw an instant difference the first time using this dryer. The ends of my hair no longer look gross and dry as they used to with my old dryer. The texture is very healthy, sleek and smooth, and, like another reviewer mentioned, this effect seems to last into day 2! I'm not sure how has this impact, but usually I have to wash every day if I want to look decent, but now I can skip a day. This will also help with the health of my hair. Oh, and can someone explain how the air gets so cold? It is like there's a little a/c unit in this thing. Great for 'setting' your style. Now, I can't wait to try the diffuser to see what kind of waves it creates. My only regret is not splurging on this sooner. Highly recommended!!
