Amazon Verified Purchase
This is the second of this brand flatiron that I have purchased. The first was the 1" flatiron which I have had for two years with absolutely no problems. Excellent product. The second one (the 1 1/4") I purchased through Amazon from this seller. Once again the iron works well, however I recently had one of the plates come loose in the iron. It now snags my hair and has become unusable for this reason. I tried twice contacting the seller through Amazon's forum as they give no direct info for contacting them. They did not respond to either e-mail. I then called Amazon and was given a direct e-mail address for the seller. This time they did respond with a very brief answer, "We do not offer warranty on any irons." I responded and asked if I should contact FHI directly and they responded, "You can contact FHI".
I then contacted FHI directly and was told that they could not help me because Payless Beauty is not an authorized seller and further stated that they had this issue with Payless before and that they are aware that they are selling to the public a product with no warranty. This is a real issue for me as this is not a cheap product.
This is a good product, but beware that if you purchase from this seller and it stops working for some reason in a month or so you are out of luck!

I am very happy with the purchase of this FHI Heat Platform Cermaic Flat Iron because it withstands the awful humidity & the frizzies that come with living in Florida. I have long layered hair and the 1 1/4" is the perfect width to use-not too small, not too big. Great buy!

My friend suggested this product to me. And after trying hers, I found it did an outstanding job. I have a lot of natural wave in my hair, and had never before used any implements when styling my hair. I was very concerned about using any heat on my hair at all, and any damage that may occur. The ceramic paddles do not damage the hair, and the heat settings are adjustable. I use the highest setting. The straight hair lasts all day.
The only bummer about my purchase at ALL was that my friend's FHI straightener, that she purchased through a salon, came with a wonderful cloth zip up case that you can store the iron in even if it is still a bit hot from use. It has a wrap around cloth flap over the case that has magnetic closures, and the soft case with embroidered FHI logo packs nicely for travel. I was thrilled with the product, but pretty bummed that for the price, online customers don't get the case. I have to use a twist-tie to wrap up the cord and pack it for travel. :(

Great Flat Iron

This is a great flat iron. It heats up in half the time as the other flat irons which for a person with thick long hair as myself, it takes a shorter time to style. Read more
