1.0 out of 5 stars Don't buy this September 25, 2012

Fun: 2.0 out of 5 stars
Other reviewers were right. This is pretty much Fifa Football with just updated kits and new team rooster. Everything else is the same. Even the commentary is 97% no change at all. I play Liverpool and Joe Allen's and Raheem Sterling's name aren't even included in the commentary. Player stats are updated realistically; but this is not the reason for getting a new game. Game play may have been tweaked a little: new AI defense does its job better - giving a more satisfying challenge at the world-class level of difficulty. But this feels more like getting bugs fixed rather than genuinely added playing elements. Forty Dollars for NOTHING. Shame to EA, really.

Got to let the world know that this is a complete sham. You can't do this to consumer and pretend nothing happened. EA just want to make easy money. They got no scruple. Not going to buy a footy game from this company again.

[Update]: After about a week or so of play, I can truly maintain my original opinion. The only genuine addition, IMO, is a reworked free kick system. The wall line-up look more realistic now. You also can implement free kick strategies with more variety. Anyway, it adds little to the game play, as you don't want to tryout new stuff and risk loss opportunity when you are awarded free kick. That's it. Everything else is still the same. Game look smoother because of better frame rate, i.e. "getting the bugs fixed." All graphic being the same.

I notice that people don't really appreciate negative comments on Amazon. They all want to see 4 or 5-star review about a product. I always find this amusing. Trust me, negative comments save you money. When 15 people (out of 17) say the game sucks, it does.

Nonetheless, I admit that for newcomers who have never played a football/soccer game on Vita, this can still be very entertaining. Just like some wise men have said: "Ignorance of the past can obscure the reality of the present."

1.0 out of 5 stars Shame on EA! September 25, 2012
Platform for Display:PlayStation Vita
Fun: 3.0 out of 5 stars
This game is the same as the game that launched with the Vita. As others have said the only new things in this game is updated rosters and updated kits.
It plays good with that being said but...

Attacking Intelligence - NOT IN THE GAME
FIFA 13 Complete Dribbling - NOT IN THE GAME
FIFA 13 1st Touch Control - NOT IN THE GAME
Player Impact Engine - NOT IN THE GAME
New Passes - Two new passing options give players the ability to dink passes over the outstretched leg of a defender or loft through balls to teammates. -NOPE
Complete Authenticity - Over 500 officially licensed clubs and more than 15,000 players.- TRUE
FIFA 13 Fundamentals - NOT IN THE GAME
Tactical Free Kicks - SAME AS ALWAY.. NOT UPDATED

Still the best portable football you can get with that said. If you didnt get the launch FIFA this is a solid pick up. Sad that EA just shoved this one out with little to no updates.
You still get online leagues and online play. No Ultimate Team and no Creation features.

1.0 out of 5 stars Shame on EA! October 1, 2012

They sold the Fifa Football with the PS Vita launch and the information that it is called Fifa Football and not Fifa 12 because it doesn't have any of the new Fifa 12 functions.
Well the Fifa13 for the PS Vita is still the exact same! It even has the same bugs as the Fifa Football version so you can't call it an update at all...

What they did:
Exchange the Fifa Footbal icon with the Fifa 13 one
Update the player of all clubs

What they didn't did:
Change most of the animations
Change the menu (EXACT the same!!!)
Fix Bugs like when you're trying to extend a contract in the career mode (App crashes)
Update the game physics
Implement tactical defense from Fifa 12
Implement any other new function.

I'm just sad that I preorder this because i had high expections after playing the demo for the PS3...

Absolutely not worth the money!

1.0 out of 5 stars A Huge Letdown September 26, 2012

Fun: 3.0 out of 5 stars
I have been a huge fan of fifa soccer series for a long long time. This Fifa 13 on Vita is just a terrible letdown.

I got this on the release date (also the Xbox version, which is much better) with the expectation of finding something new. However, quickly I understood that there was NOTHING new in the game. Actually, all parts of this game were copied from the Fifa 12(Fifa soccer) on Vita -- The interface was exactly the same, the menu exactly was the same, the engine was exactly the same, and all other things were exactly the same. EA just updated some players' and teams' rating data. I was really not able distinguish it from Fifa 12 on Vita during the playing process.

Moreover, this version is extremely laggy and buggy. Sometimes the loading before a match can be painfully long, and sometimes the screen frozee and I have to restart the application and restart the match all over(this is very frustrating when I am playing career mode). More frustrations come when I encounter endless bugs. For example, I noticed that there is a bug on career mode, when I sign a new player, there is a posibility that the contract length is NEGATIVE 2013 or NEGATIVE 2014 years (although you set the lenght to be 3 or 4 years). Players with such a ridiculous contract will disappear automaticly at the end of the first season and thus I end up losing my player and my funds in angry(I don't even get a chance to negotiage a new contract).

All in all, Fifa 13 on Vita is just a failure. If you haven't buy it yet, probably the better idea for you is to skip this -- get the Xbox version and play this game on your Xbox, or wait one more year (although I really doubt fifa 14 on Via will be better if EA keep their bad attitude toward this).
