First I want to counter everything the last reviewer said!!!!! He came here trying to catch your attention with fancy words and describtive writing in order to keep you from getting this game. Heres one thing, NEWS REPORTERS BELONG ON NEWSCASTS!!!!! This game is one of the very few EA soccer games I enjoy. For me it is usually all about the winning eleven series. NOT SUPER MARIO STRIKERS!!!! Now the game play is at first alittle chalenging. For example the buttons for a long pass or "high pass" as they are called in fifa street 2 and the buttons for shots are switched. This will be the bigest problem for avid soccer fans like myself. otherwise the gameplay is silky smooth. the trick stick ( right analog stick) helps players to easily control how humiliating your trick will be. pointing the stick down with perform a panna or putting the ball between a players legs. Pointing to the left or right passes the player from the right or left side. finnaly pointing up is you guessed it.... Puting the ball over the players head. theyre are a huge repetoir of tricks to perform so theyre is constant action. Also it has good music and many genres and yes i quote from true skool. A huge collection of players including my hero Ronaldinho Gaucho. Unfortunetely his signiture move is called Gaucho instead of his famous Elastico. I degress. But the best part about the tricks is the ability to replay the last trick over and over so that u can show off and also check the foot work in order to do the trick yourself.
Even though G4 says that this game lacks numerous modes of play, it has a very long story mode. The game are very fun especially when you unlock team captain mode were you manage your own team international were u choose a country to play for in order to win every locked item. and underground where you play the most skill teams and the hardest conditions. This game forces you to create a custom player. This can be done in the rule the street mode or in the creation zone. You can also create a custom pitch and yes make it as ghetto as possible because hey that what street soccer is all about, and you can create a dream team of all your fav players. The down sides of this game are the overall repetition of tricks, somewhat repetative game play in certain modes and a lack of options to customize pitches. Over all i think this game isnt half bad. Worth 20 bucks even though i am saving for an ac milan jersey and need the money. It truly brings out the wonder of Footsal in a way that even Pele would be proud.

Bought this game over a yer ago. It's a fun game in the beginning, but then I realized the controls and the mechanics of the game could be a whole lot better. It's a good mindless game to kill some time with some friends if you're bored.

This is one of my favorite games and it is very fun. U can play as the top good teams and use the best people on the teams. U can make ur own team, symbol, and people too. But u have to upgrade ur own people with the points in the game. U can choose anything and everything that u can think of. The carrer mode is hard but not as hard as regular fifa game. I love the friendly mode on it because u can go against friends or get used to it against other teams. U can even be on the same team as ur friend. The music is the best on any fifa game i have played and u can make a custom channel with ur favorite music on it. The graphics r really good and the tricks that u use in the game r amazing. There r many places to play at on the street. All arounnd the world. This is my favorite soccer game made and there is much more that u can do on it.

There is so much you can say about professional sports. While so many people who love video games prefer playing video game sports over seeing professional sports teams. With all of those, the essence of football games like Madden '06, and basketball titles such as NBA Live by Electronic Arts have conquered the marketplace, soccer games haven't actually caught on very well. While Nintendo did strike the nail on the head with the highly-hyped Super Mario Strikers, other systems have yet to hit that level of goal-making magic. Can EA's Street series make it happen for International Football for Americans? Here is the answer.
FIFA Street 2 for the Playstaion 2, tries to bring out the appeal of soccer, with the attitude Electronic Arts captured with NBA Street V3, and other Street titles. You have all sorts of countries to tackle inorder to take the crown of underworld soccer, such as Mexico, U.S.A., United Kingdom, and Brazil. The game also tries to captures the feeling of moves of tricks with the gamebrakers for trick stick combos, but doesn't capture the feeling of actual soccer madness. The graphics are greatfully detailed within each soccer court and player, and the music is very upbeat with the detailed expression EA placed before with other Street titles. The control however is quite frustrating, and can sometimes cost you from making your goals and acheivements. Not to mention it isn't very challenging for people who've defeated other soccer titles. All in all For Playstation 2 owners, FIFA Street 2 isn't a bad title, but it just is missing a few kicks that should've been worked out. I just hope that there are better titles for Soccer fans for this system. If you own a Playstation 2, and you have the need for soccer madness, you're better off kicking it for another soccer game. Graphics: B 1/2+ Sound: B Control: C+ Fun & Enjoyment: C for solo players, B- for multiplayer action Overall: C 1/2+ |
