5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome Game!
At first i thought this game was going to be a little ridiculuos and forced from the EA BIG title series. However, upon buying the game i found it not only to be extremely fun, but exciting, great-looking and an over all great game. BETTER THAN ANY OTHER STREET GAME!

I'm a big fan of the EA Big Street series. I'm also a huge fan of soccer. I was pumped to play this game.

Unfortunately I am underwhelmed. The game play seems a bit lame and static compared to what you would expect from the street series. Most of this comes from controls that are not responsive. The point of the game is to beat your opponent with wild dribble moves. Unfortunately when the opponent uses a move on you, you literally lose control of your player while the animation shows your guy getting schooled. The soccer AI in this game is so poor that none of your other players can be counted on to help out your stranded teammate.

I just don't see a lot of replay value in this as the controls and gameplay are so static and frustrating.

Also disappointing is the fact that when you create a new team to play through the single player mode, your team is ranked at level 13 and your first opponent is level 25. I played ten matches and won only once because my players are hopelessly outclassed.

Some redeeming qualities of the game... there is a huge roster of real life soccer stars from several countries. Fans of European soccer will be happy to see Beckham, Henry, Totti, Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, etc. Unfortunately, if your favorite star does not come from one of the dozen featured countries, forget about finding him in the game, which means no Schevchenko, Van Nistelrooy, Ljungberg, and none of the Greeks who won last year's Euro Tournament.

The graphics in this game are very nice. The players look stylish and are dead-ringers for the real players. The environments are decent looking too.

The lack of XBox Live play is absolutely unforgivable in a sports title of this nature. This is a terrible oversight.

In the end, I cannot recommend FIFA Street to anyone besides the most avid of soccer fans, and even then, don't expect to get a lot of replay value out of this.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fun playing against friends, May 7, 2006

This game is alot of fun. All the tricks you can do and the way you can shoot goals are just amazing. You can even shoot with your shoulder or the back of your foot. It's just crazy. The controls are a little difficult for the beginning, but you'll get used to it after a few games.

You can create your own player (I'm not sure about a team) and use him in career mode to build up his stats and make him look even cooler. The graphics are great and they fit perfectly to the game.

For those who aren't familiar with the street games, I'll get to the point. These games are not "realistic", I guess you could say. They're just put out for fun. So if you wanna have a crazy, but at the same time fun game, then go with this (or Fifa Street 2). But if you wanna experience a real soccer game, then don't buy this, buy Fifa Soccer 06 instead. But if you can afford both and like soccer, then I suggest that you buy both!

I have read some of the reviews and some of ya'll are faking. This game is a MAJOR let down.
First off the good stuff... nice graphics.. pretty good roster of players...and great tricks..and some kinda ok locales.

Now the bad stuff. While this game does have a good roster I can;t help but feel slighted at how few players are in this game!!! Where are the legends for petes sake??!!... now i kno americans wouldn't kno who Jurgen klinsman or Carlos valederama are but the rest of the world DOES and we want them as well as others in the game!!!
And there are other players in the world that can be considered starz ya kno if there is a part 2... i want MUCH mor players in there. Also this game feels rished out the gate 2 cash in on nba and nfl streets success ...if u feel nfl street was rushed stay faaar away from this game!!!
And the announcer!! YUCK!
