I bought this for my niece for her birthday a few weeks ago. She loves it!! (I also find it pretty entertaining--shh, don't tell anyone!) The toy works great--I'm not sure why the other reviewers had issues as this has not been my experience, but you do have to say specific phrases and you have to speak when the belly button light is on. We especially love the "Dance with me!" feature...we have a mini-dance party every time I come over. I also really love the material the doll is made of--jelly, squishy, fun to squeeze. I'm actually going to get the Logan Fijit for my friend's daughter...her name is also Logan! Love it!

My 11 yo just had to have this for her birthday. I was skeptical that she'd be a little on the old side of the targeted market but actually I think it works that she is older. At this tween age she is less about playing for hours on end and more about turning Serafina on to say goodnight, dance or to say hello in the morning. She likes showing her off to her friends and Serafina is a big hit with them. She likes that she looks cute sitting on her bedside table. I do think she is a definitely more fairly priced now (under $40). She is truly interactive and obviously at the under $50 price break you get what you pay for - a cheaper interactive toy that isn't true robotic perfection. Still in my opinion she does what she is advertised to do as long as you change out her demo batteries to nicer batteries. Addressing the battery draining comments - I put a set of Duracel batteries in her mid September and she is still going strong with some sort of daily play. She isn't slowing down yet.

She is surprisingly squishy and soft. She is easily wipeable. Her construction seems to be sound. She doesn't come across as cheap in terms of construction. She'd hold up well even with a young child.

My almost 8 year old wants the same toy in a different color for her birthday. I was waiting to see how my 11 yo liked her before I made the final decision to gift her to my younger daughter. She's a keeper - she'll be a hit with her too.

Finally, as a side note my 10 month old great niece absolutely adores this toy! She loves watching Serafina in the dance mode and it held her attention for a very long time. Anyone with a toddler knows this is a true feat! While I wouldn't hand her over to a toddler, I'm glad we have her around for toddler entertainment too when the need arises.

My daughter saw this on TV...she had to have it. She is 6, I made a deal that we would split the cost, so we did. Poor thing, she even wants to return it now. It claims it will say 150 things, well it does not, it will tell you the same things over and over. It continually says, "What you want to do now, huh?"...then you get 3 choices..tell me a joke, dance with me and chat with me....when you ask these things it has about 3-5 things it will respond with in each mode, after 1 hour we had heard it all, maybe several times. If it did what it said, it would be very cute, but it does not. The second day we changed the batteries, because it would stop dancing after 3 seconds when starting to dance to one song...or wouldn't reply properly when you ask it to do something at the proper time.Ie: Tell me a joke, she would say, knock-knock, my daughter would say, "Who's there?", she would tell her..."You should say who's there silly"-UGH!
