Product Description

The new FINIS PT Paddles are designed to help you find and develop your Perfect Technique in the water. They are shaped to deflect water around your hand, effectively removing the hands from the swimming equation. By removing the hand as a paddle, swimmers have to find other methods of generating propulsion.Because your hand can no longer 'grip' the water, your body will need to adjust your stroke. The elbow is positioned higher, the hips roll a little further, and the forearm is activated earlier, allowing you to catch and pull yourself through the water.Wearing the PT Paddles overtime increases your body awareness and muscle memory. Then when you swim normally without the paddles, you will feel stronger and faster in the water. One size fits all.

I purchased two pairs of these anti paddles on the Amazon web page. Reasonably priced and cheap shipping prices. These are made from a spongey material and are a great aid for swimming. The bands around the fingers are not in the position to control the paddle at it's best. Not sure how long they will last being used in the water on a daily basis . Great aid for improving technique and using the legs more.

Not absolutely necessary, but these paddles make your "fist" drill more effective. It is supposed to feel awkward! Focus on your forearms pulling and you will begin to feel a difference in your stroke.

I've been through two of these. The surgical tubing used to secure the paddle to your hand is really cheap. You can tell that these are thrown together in a hurry. My issue is that the tubing, while pliant in places, can be hardened and brittle in key locations. Couple that with the fact that sometimes you really need to tug them to get them to adjust, and you're bound to bust one of the straps eventually.

If these cost $5 for a pair of paddles, it'd be a different story. But $20 for cheap molded plastic and tubing that is bound to snap? No thanks. Luckily the bust on my second pair was repairable, but I'm waiting for them to break again. I actually use them less than I'd like because of the manufacturing problems. I really, really dislike these things. I realize it's a simple training tool, but that's no excuse to make them so cheaply. Especially if you're charging 20+ bucks a pair.

Fast shipping, great product, the first time I used them I could really tell that they put my arms in perfect stroke position. Then when we went open water swimming, my muscles remembered my drills with the paddles, and I could tell my form had improved.
