I've always had a spider problem in my home during certain seasons and rainy periods. I purchased 6 units (3 two packs) about a year ago and shortly after plugging the units in I noticed the spiders were gone. Now after a whole year without spiders, I had to remove 2 of the units because we got a Guinea Pig and 2 Parakeets. The spiders have reappeared in the 2 rooms I took the units out of within 2 weeks, so I really do believe they work. I'm not sure if they're a problem for the Parakeets but instead of taking the chance, I'm calling the company to ask before I put the units back in. I also need to find out if they are safe for the Guinea Pigs since it does warn about rodents, but maybe I can use them if they're a certain distance away from the cage.
