this is a great book . most modern flying books are dry , boring and very sedate oweing to the structured boring nature of most pilots ( i am an aviator ). mr. cooks ' never ending adventures and pitfalls during hang gliding on a shoe string budget to building his first flying machines and subsequent aeroplanes , also with no money to spare , is facinating and never borish . the interesting charactors that are his close circle of friends or the genuine individuals that he meets along his travels around the world pursueing his passion for flight are reminiscent of the yarns from the golden age of flight . a great read for a true aviator .
