As a nonmilitary person interested in information about the military I found this CD-ROM to be a great source of information.The manuals on the CD are extremely informative and as far as I can tell (my brother is in the military and uses some of the paperback manuals) exactly the same as the army-issued paperback versions.
I have also purchased some of the other military CD-ROMS and this is by far the most economical. Over 200 military manuals in an easy-to-read format and adobe acrobat is included on the CD-ROM.
If you buy any of the other military CD-ROMs there will be a little repetition (so far I believe 3 of the 5 cd-roms I've bought have the FM-21-150 Combatives on them) but for the price you can afford it.
I think the format the books are in on the CD-ROMs is fairly easy to use although on some of them getting from chapter to chapter can be a pain as the reader must go back to the TOC of the particular manual that they are reading.
My only other complaint is the quality of some of the original military publications. The type is sometimes horrible and difficult to read and some of the manuals have quite a few typographical erros.
Overall these manuals are a great buy and a great source of military information for the enlisted and the nonenlisted buyer.

Military manuals have traditionally been extremely well written with an impressive ability to express the topic simply in a manner that any reader will understand. Organization is excellent and visual presentation has the goal of making the subject immediately understood. They get the subject across quickly in a well expressed manner that is the best I have seen in the teaching field. But, that is the point: to make our servicemen the best trained in the World in the shortest possible time. Obviously, they are not written by the academic. I was an Army officer for several years after college. Many times I reflected how much more I would have learned in college, had those texts been written by the Army.
200 of the most important manuals are on a single CD. It would costs a fortune to buy the individual manuals. This is the best bargain I am aware of on the subject. Master any one of these manuals and you will be an expert in the field.

This is outdated. FM 22-100 was updated in 1999. There is no longer a FM 22-101 or FM22-102. They are now appendices to FM 22-100 which has substantially changed from the one on this CD-ROM

This is the most comprehensive collection of military manuals I have ever found on CD. I found it very easy to use, and well worth the money.
