Book Description

March 21, 2005
A large group of people maintains that Social Security's future is safe and assured for at least another 30 years. An equally large group is equally certain that an impending financial disaster is only about a decade away. Who is right and who is wrong? Is there any way to really be sure? Politicians have historically tweaked the system and kept the program solvent when problems arose. Is that not the case now? Are we just making too much of a problem that may or may not occur? This book reveals all the easy-to-understand facts each of us needs to make up our own minds, instead of having to wonder who is correct.

About the Author

Roy Dent has always enjoyed working with numbers, and learned the principles of the time-value of money while earning his MBA during the nineteen eighties. He has spent the past two and one-half years researching exactly how governmental finances are structured and how easy it is to misrepresent what is really going on. He does not attempt to push any particular party agenda or ideology. He believes very strongly that all Americans must find out the true facts about the financing of Social Security and Medicare if we as a country are to make good decisions about how best to reform these fiscal giants.
