I have dozens of flashlights and have owned many more. This the best flashlight i have ever had. It is super powerful for a flashlight that is only 2 inches long. I carry it with me everyday. It has three brightness levels and some other features I don't use, but nice to have. I use it at work every day and have put it thru heck, but it has worked flawlessly. The only downside is the cost of the batteries. I as able to but bulk on the internet and saved quite a bit. I cannot say enough good about this flashlight. I hope they never stop making them.

I collect flashlights obsessively, and have all kinds for all uses. One particularly dogged quest I've been on is to find a keychain flashlight that finds the best possible balance between the smallest practical size and variable, high lumen potential, while also having a low-light setting for every day uses you'd expect from a keychain light.

I had the similar version of this same style of light that is a third of an inch longer and 1 or 2 tenths of an inch wider. It requires a CR123A battery. Since this one requires the smaller CR2 battery, it is able to be smaller, and pack the same basic punch. My older model is technically brighter, around 210 lumens, but honestly, you can only barely perceive the difference between its 210 and this one's 180 lumens looking at them side-by-side, and it certainly isn't enough to matter. I actually prefer the throw and beam configuration of this light more. For me, the more noticeably smaller size trumps the barely noticeable brightness and inferior overall beam dispersal quality.

Additionally, my other light attaches to the keychain by the base, preventing sitting the light on its tailcap if you want to illuminate an entire room evenly. This one attaches on the side just under the base, so it can sit flat on its base, even without removing it from your keychain.

The overall quality of this light is very noticeably superior. My other light is thicker overall, but it's body walls are thinner and less sturdy, and the action on the twist toggle to turn it on isn't nearly as tight and smooth as this one. Additionally, this one has a gnarled body, while my original was smooth. I like both the ergonomics and aesthetics better, personally, because of this.

The MLR2 is a great flashlight for every day carry. It attaches very easy to a key chain and provides several different light output settings.

Fits perfect in the coin pocket, but still gives you something to hold on to. I own many micro sized lights including the Valeno D2, mid sized lights like the Zebralight SC52, and a full sized Maelstrom. Of all of my flashlights this is the only one in the sub 2" length that exceeds 200 lumens. I love flashlights and I typically switch between them daily. Since purchasing this one it's been in my pocket for three weeks. That's really saying something!

This flashlight is reasonably priced, very bright, and allows you to adjust the brightness of the light beam. You just twist the body on and off in succession and it changes the brightness level. It is pretty small and convenient to carry, as well. It seems to be very well-constructed.

This is a great pocket light in the sub-CR123A form factor. I really like CR2 lights because they're shorter than AAA lights and not as thick as the 123A lights. I also have the 4Sevens Atom AL and ALR2 but I prefer the Mini MLR2 because it has a reflector and the two Atoms are "mules," which is flashaholic speak for a light which has no reflector. Since the light from the emitter isn't focused it produces a wide beam with even illumination and no extra bright area or hot spot. Which one to prefer is a matter of application or personal preference.

I also have the Nitecore Sensmini CR2 which is very similar sizewise but has the accelerometer based user interface which is somewhat controversial. I like it but if it isn't for you then this light would be a better choice. It's a couple of millimeters shorter than the Nitecore which isn't significant for me. Brightness on max appears to be somewhat less than the Nitecore due to the warmer CRI index emitter. I prefer cool white or neutral white emitters despite the better color rendition of warm emitters since the warmer emitters sacrifice some lumen or brightness output for better color accuracy. Although not officially rated for the 3.6V RCR2's (the manual only mentions 3.0V non-rechargeable CR2 batteries) I've been running the RCR2s with no problem. Actually the slightly higher voltage of the 3.6V cells increase the brightness noticeably vis a vis the Nitecore so they might be the same.

Keep in mind that if you have the 3.0V RCR2 batteries you must have the right charger such as the Xtar MP2s which is switchable between 3.6 and 3.0 volts. Charging the 3.0V ones at 3.6V could cause an accident. I bought two as they're not that expensive, one for the home and the other for the car. Overall a great light in the CR2 size category.

I got this for my wife. Comes with a neck tether. Perfect. I like my CR123 version. Better for me. Not much bigger than this one.
