This is a titanium housed flashlight regardless of what is said elsewhere. And it's a beauty! Silky smooth feel of titanium with a stately finish. I did use a teflon lube on the threads because I could feel that slight tug of similar materials screwed together. But I have done the same to some of my other 4Sevens lights (I now have five of them).

The operation is one click low, click-click med, third click-click high, and it is plenty bright especially for a 2 AAA flashlight! Cycle through twice and you access the hidden functions. You don't even need to click the light to advance to the next brightness level. If you lightly push the end cap button, it will change without the full on/off click.

If you want a titanium light, this is the ticket!

Only concern is how easy it is to click on the light, but since the low setting is the first to activate and lasts a day, there is a good chance you would notice before the batteries die. However, not true if in the bottom of a pack.

As usual, Foursevens continues to set the standard for quality flashlights, and that doesn't even include their impeccably price range. I own a handful of custom and non custom flashlights and I always go to my Foursevens first. The Titanium Preon 2 feels great in the hand thanks to the satin finish, is super simply to use, and puts out an brilliant beam that is the perfect combinations of spot and flood. It is now part of my everyday carry and sits nicely next to my Sebenza in my pocket. Thanks Foursevens.

Pros:
This is a great EDC flashlight and I love the titanium finish. The weight to brightness ratio is fantastic and a big thumbs up for using AAA batteries. I perfer this form factor over key-chain lights or short and stumpy EDC lights because the ergonomics work better with my hands, I wear XL gloves. Multiple setting are great for conserving battery life, but when you need the full 160 lumen output, its there. I work as a general contractor and I am using this light all the time on job sites with less than adequate lighting. For years I was using the flashlight apps on my smartphone which utilize the LED camera flash, and I cannot beleive I put up with that as my primary flashlight for as long as I did. This is the most valuable addition to my EDC outside of my folding knife.

Cons:
The pocket clip is flimsy. I wear jeans for work everyday, and the thick denim at the edge of the front pockets will stretch the clip out within a few weeks. I now carry it with a braided paracord key-chain on the lanyard ring. The light still sits well in my front pocket and remains vertical, and I can access it easily with the paracord. I would rather have a heavy duty pocket clip, but you can't always get what you want. My only other complaint is that I have to twist the head to 'lock' the light off because the power button will click on from time to time when you wear it in the front pocket as I do; this may be a big deal for some users, and understandably so, but it is really minor for me which is why you still see the five star rating.

Other Thoughts:
There is some false advertising here from Kandlepower. You are not saving $12.50 on this light by purchasing it here, you will be saving $1.50. They are selling the version using the CREE XP-G LED which is priced at $64.

I love the reflector in this little guy. No halos and it gets insanely bright. Its super bright not just for a pen light but for a flashlight in general. It puts a lot of store bought flashlights to shame, no matter their size. Worth every Penny.

My only complaint is the clip. While it is nice, I think it could be just a bit thicker so I wouldn't have to flex it back to a tight grasp every couple weeks. This is my daily carry light, it comes in handy, especially at work. I love it.
