I will start off by saying that I own the original KontrolFreek FPS Freeks and I like them. When I heard about the release of the CQC I knew I had to jump on it right away. The main problem with the original FPS Freeks is that they were just a bit too long for games like Gears of War where you are consistently in close-quarters combat.

The FPS Freek CQC adds a perfect level of grip and accuracy without getting in the way like the original FPS Freeks tend to do. I don't feel limited when trying to maneuver around tight areas as is often the case in Gears. As of now I play with the CQC on the right thumbstick and it works great. My thumbs don't slip of the thumbstick anymore and the CQC doesn't prevent my fingers from moving quickly from the thumbstick to the ABXY buttons.

Overall I would recommend this product to anyone who plays the Gears of War series or anyone who finds the original FPS Freeks just a little too cumbersome. For around ten bucks, you really can't go wrong.

Listen I know it sounds crazy but if you play a lot of FPS on consoles you want to try this product out, quit thinking about and make the purchase it could change your game, trust me. However that being said I have only used CQC = close quarter combat Kontrol Freeks as I do not think I would of like the standard Kontrol Freeks that stuck out longer, some may prefer those but I have a feeling I would not of. Will not be for everyone, but like I said worth a try. At first you will hate them until you get adjusted to them and then you will love them. I recommend turning your sensitivity up for a couple of matches when you first get them then adjust them down as you will appreciate them more after that, I did this as well is why I recommend this method. The only down side to these is after about 4 or 5 months the glue holding the rubber cushion on top of the joystick extenders will weaken and the rubber piece will come off, now if your like me and only use these on your right thumb stick, not the left one as well, then you have a backup, if not and you like using them on both thumb sticks I recommend ordering another pair if you become accustom to them before they ware out, as you do not want to not have them on your controller as going back...well sucks.

I'll start with my background when these first came out I really didn't know much nor did I trust them. But I bought them and they take some getting use to but in about a GOOD month you can't play without them. The first design was the best (My Opinion)it had six connectors instead of the new three because of controllers activity but, this one man A++++ So much better improved on the grip, better wear on the controller, the small dots on the surface sticks when you sweat. And it DOES improve your accuracy most of all! I went from K/D Ratio 1.63 to 2.38 in about two months, now that's results. I've heard of people only using one FPS FREEK for that accuracy or just the speed you need.

*PROS
- 40% Better accuracy (your results may vary)
- Better range of motion from your controller sticks.
- Better Grip (for all you sweaty thumbs out there)
- Can increase your sensitivity ( 5 ~ 10 insane on COD)
- Comes in all different shapes and sizes.
- It's VERY cheap A+
- They also have Speed freeks for racing and sphere ones for retro gaming as well as sport ones.

*CONS
- Takes some getting used to (about a month of solid gameplay my experience, your results may vary)
- Sometimes the sticks pop off because it only has three connectors (Solution : Don't press so hard on controller when playing)
- These last for about 2~3 years starts to loose grip after constant use. (Normal wear and tear)
- It chafe's the controller afterwhile (really doesn't bother me)

At the end of day this is a no brainier if you want to get better, or just need that "edge" to improve your gameplay I highly recommend the FPS FREEK CQC by KontrolFreek.

I received the Legendary Freeks a while back to review for a website when Halo Reach came out. It was a product that I immediately fell in love with. After a few matches to get used to the increased analog sensitivity, I felt they stepped up my game in both Halo and Gears of War.

Once I got into CoD however, I felt like they were actually a bit too sensitive. Enter the CQC's. These are slightly shorter than the original Freeks, so I feel like they give just enough extension to the xbox analog sticks for a game that plays much faster.

They won't instantly make you better, but I definitely notice a difference. If I try to play without them on my controller now it just feels odd and like I have less precision control when aiming.

Solid product from a good company.

I first tried the original FPSFreek's due to the raving reviews on them, and they were just too long for me, and didn't work out. However I gave them to a friend of mine who loved them....
So, when I saw these, I jumped on them as soon as I saw them. These are Perfect! They are not a magic potion, and won't turn you from a crappy player to an MLG caliber player, but they will certainly help. My KDR went up only about .2 after using them for a week, which is probably due using these make it much easier to play on 10 sensitivity.
I also tried them with NHL 13, and these are great for NHL 13, I am able to control the skaters with much more finesse, defenders with more control, and am actually starting to win some online matches, no more 9 game losing streak for me!
Just ordered my 2nd pair, and wanted to give my input on a great, low cost product.
For only $12 these are a great deal, and would recommend these to anybody playing FPS shooters, sports games, these would probably work for racing games too!

These are the best new tech I've encountered in a bit. Such a simple adjustment but it makes a huge difference playing games. Grabbing a precision shot is easier than ever! I only use it on the right control stick and go stock on the left stick. Enjoy your head shots today!

The best thing about it is the fact that it's concave. I use it for playing COD Zombies and it gets uncomfortable pressing R3 for a long game. The height of them... I can't really tell; it makes it feel smoother I suppose. Greater mobility one could say. It works for some people in other ways but for me it does the job; the price is a little hyped.

I was hoping for a better KDR with these, but it turns out I'm still a mediocre player. Oh well.

These were great. They worked like a charm. I do need to purchase another set because I'm an angry gamer. I have broken my set when they impacted the ground at high velocity. But this stopped the problem of my thumbs slipping off the sticks. Will buy again.
