I bought this filter when it was under $10 and it paid for itself on the first tank of gas. I have a 2001 Oldsmobile Aurora 3.5 liter V6 and this filter brought my tank average gas mileage up from about 22mpg to 27mpg. I also noticed better throttle response and a bit more pep in some of the RPMs that the engine usually struggled at. Im not saying this is a "Drop in 15hp+ at the wheels!!" but at the price its going for its cheaper than a paper filter, and a lot better too. Id recommend this to anyone considering getting it.

I typically purchase K&N filters for my vehicles, but for the price I decided to try it out since it looked to be a comparable product. All I can say is wow! If you ask me the construction of the Air Hog is better than K&N. It has a very nice rubber surrounding that gives the filter stability. Also the gasket fits the air housing perfectly. Normally with K&N you need to add an additional rubber stick-on gasket.

I ordered two as it is FAR from amazon. However, it turns to be a washable filter. so one for life.I will sell the other on ebay. it is a good filter.

Item is as described and fits well, but there is a shortcoming. The gaps in the weave of the material are visible, so it will allow more dirt into the engine initially untill they are plugged. Supposedly the tacky oil in the media attracts the dirt and prevents some of debris from entering, but I'm not 100% sure about that.

Just received and installed the air hog on my Chevy Malibu and instantly noticed a huge difference in acceleration and performance..i also own a honda civic with a K&n air filter and i can easily say that frams air hog is on par if not better than the K&n's highly recommend it to anyone and especially when you compare prices

i have had other performance type filters before, this one seems to be on par.
i am using it in a 2000 Olds Silhouette, so performance gains arent great, but i can hear a different intake note that is common with these filters.

for the price, it cant be beat. cheaper than the cheapest filter at walmart.
