Product Description

From the Manufacturer

Single Cup Peet’s Way
Bold. Distinctive. And Now, Convenient.

We’ve spent five years perfecting Peet’s Single Cup, to meet our exacting standards and more importantly the standards of our customers. We started with the same premium Peet’s coffee you love; use a better coffee, get a better cup. We chose to use more coffee than most, but hardly indiscriminately. We’ve designed a specific dose (to the tenth of a gram) for each specific blend and a grind parameter that we measure to the micron.

We also deployed a mesh-like filter that allows more oils and flavors to pass into the cup. All these tiny details make a gigantic difference, especially in a method that must extract in under a minute.

It's the same Café Domingo you love, roasted by the same roasters, and treated with the same craft and care as the rest of our coffees.

Café Domingo
Medium Roast: Our Tribute to Cafe Culture

Tasting Notes: Smooth and balanced, with hints of toffee sweetness

Roast Profile: Medium Roast

Great coffee brings friends and neighbors together like nothing else. That's why we created this medium roast to pay tribute to the time-honored pastime of lingering in the café, casually sipping an expertly brewed cup over conversation.

The three Latin American coffees in this carefully crafted blend were selected for their balance and brightness, and the roast fine-tuned to brew the perfect medium-bodied cup. We decided to name it after our third café, opened by Alfred Peet in 1980 on Domingo Avenue in Berkeley, in the shadow of the Claremont Hotel. For more than three decades, Peet's regulars have gathered here to enjoy handcrafted drinks and the camaraderie they inspire. And that's something worth commemorating.

Same Commitment, Same Care, Same Coffee.

I've used K- cups for a lot of years now and I will admit that it's just more convenient -- the taste is often not quite as good as true brewed coffee. Well, let me tell you -- we know why a cup made with Peets is super tasty coffee! We faithfully empty out the used K- cups to at least compost the grounds, and the Peets cups are packed with more coffee than other K -cups. My engineer hubby even weighed them and yes, they have more coffee in the cups than other brands. Plus, Peets coffee has an almost fruity taste to me, which I prefer. They are the most expensive, though, so everybody start buying them and maybe the price will go down. :)

I've had a Keurig brewer since they first came on the market and, as a person who only has one cup of coffee at a time, love the convenience. Even so, I have searched for the perfect K cup of coffee and haven't found it. I've tried them all, but to get a good rich cup of coffee (Kenya is my favorite) you can only use 6 oz. of water -- a tiny cup of coffee. I've been waiting for Peet's to get in the K cup business, and remember an article about how the industry fought Peet's early attempts. Now I know why. This is the PERFECT cup of coffee, using 8 ounces of water. I'll never go back to the other brands. The only problem is the price. A 10-pack is only $9.99 at my local Peet's, but is $11.99 plus $4.70 shipping here. Hopefully Green Mountain Coffee will add Peet's to their coffee club with free shipping. Probably won't happen since they would be bringing in a competitor that will now dominate the K cup world! It's about time! DId you know that Starbucks learned the trade from Peet's? ( [...] ) Happy day! Peet's K-cups are here!

This is among the very best coffees that I have ever had the pleasure to drink - not bitter, full and rich flavor (body), and very satisfying. It is also easily the most expensive that has passed my lips. While I do beleve that it is worth it's price, my retirement income is not sufficient to continue using this coffee. I will miss it greatly. If you have no cost problems, and if you like a great cup of coffee - this is it.

Not all coffee pods taste good to me - this one is as good as drip coffee! No one would guess it wasn't drip.

I got the two cups free so I shouldn't complain.

However.....I thought the BOLDER of the two was way too bold for me. I know some like it that way.....'tis all good.

The medium range cup was tasty enough. Not my usual fare, I guess.

I appreciate the freebies and was glad to try them. Thank you.

I received my "free" sample of coffee with no problems. All I had to do was buy something "qualifying". Not so much "bait and switch" as it is showing different options. In my case, I was buying the qualifying purchase anyway. As it turns out, I also bought another type that I haven't tried yet that also qualified so I guess I could have had TWO free samples. Sigh.
The sample includes a dark roast "Major Dickason's Blend" and a medium roast "Cafe Domingo". Both coffees are excellent.
Here comes the qualifier: Even though the tastes of both of these are some of the best I have had, the cost is prohibitive. I will buy a box of the Cafe Domingo and keep it for special occasions (the K-cups with the plastic bottoms, as these are, will keep seemingly forever) but for daily drinking, I can't afford $1.20 per cup every day, several times a day.

The best pod hands down. I prefer Peet's more than Barista Prima Italian Roast and Starbucks. Give it a try yourself.
