I have had nothing but good luck with my Frio. It has gone with me to Britain, Italy, and in the next few months will accompany me to Poland and Greece. I have also taken it camping with me in the North Carolina summer heat without any problem at all. It has always remained cool inside, regardless of the outside temperature, for at least 48 hours (usually longer) before I have to recharge it. It is now four years old and, while it takes a bit longer than ten minutes for the initial charge, still working as well as before.

I have had to travel with biomed drugs that needed refrigeration for almost 15 years, and this is The Best.
An insulated ice pack lasts about 4 hours for me, then is still cool but melted. An LA-NY flight's worth of cool, unless you have to get luggage, wait in line for a cab, and get into the city. So it used to be a pain begging ice off stewardesses who were running low & trying to get ready to land. Then after 9/11 & the shoe bomber, I had ice packs confiscated and had to deal with melting ice for the whole trip. A real mess. A 12 hour flight to Europe would have been impossible, but with the Frio, I just flew both ways with extended layovers, and it was still relatively cool at the end. Not icy cold, but then they're not supposed to be, just cool. I admit, I kinda panicked when I touched it at my destination and found the outside of the pack room temp, but the inside was still cool. And no security messed with me. They accepted a "moist medicine pack," with no further hassle. In LA, Toronto, Copenhagen, & Chicago. I did tell them about it in advance. Now I wish I'd waited to see if they would have even questioned it. I don't think there's enough liquid in it to bother a scanner. Bottom line: one cool product

I bought htis recently for my parents and find this very useful. This holds cool for two days (believe me.. 48 hours full) despite out heat beat trip in our car. Amust for anyone who wishes to keep medicines cool and stable. I will recommend this for anyone.

I got the product very quickly and then tested it out. I was very suprized on how it stayed cold and also on how long it stayed that way. Very true that it is not like having it in the frig but it did stay cool enough to keep my insulin cool. It stayed active for a good 2+ days and then when it finaly dried out it was very easy to store. I will defently try this on the next trip I take.

I love using Frio products. We traveled across the country with the frio, and our insulin stayed exactly the right temperature. I carried insulin pens and vials. There was no problem with airport security.
We were in very hot weather, and a couple of times the frio was left in the car. I checked it each time, and the insulin inside was cool to the touch. You do have to make sure to follow the directions for use, and soak the packs for the required time. Also, they can't be packed in an enclosed space, so I kept them at the top of my tote bag. Frio is a great product; I wouldn't travel without it!

I've used this large, cooler wallet a few times, and it's worked very well, keeping my regular insulin cool as I travel to conferences with my diabetic supplies. It does not keep the insulin quite as cool as in a refrigerator, but significantly cool enough (have not actually measured the coolness with a thermometer). It's definitely necessary to read and understand the directions before attempting to use it, because it's possible to damage or break it (excess swelling from too much soaking or not spreading the crystals around evenly). My experience is that the coolness lasts 2-3 days, during this Fall season. I personally would not subject the cooling wallet to temperature extremes, either cold or hot, for best results (IMO). Because the instructions state do not put wallet in refrigerator, and because other Amazon users have left the cooling wallet in a closed car on a hot, summer day (IMO, pushing their luck?).

It's by far the easiest way to keep supplies cool for a long period of time. I simply drop it into cold water when it becomes smaller and it's reloaded to continue cooling. Great for work and traveling. I use it every day!

As a frequent traveler for business and pleasure I was looking for a way to not have to carry around an ice pack for an upcoming vacation in Italy. I came across the Frio and couldn't be more pleased! If you follow the directions exactly, it will keep your insulin cold as long as you need it to. I used it for 2 straight weeks in Italy and had no problems. I also had no problems at the airport - just took it out and put it in the bin with my other belongings. I am so glad I found this product - no more ice packs for me!

This is the second FRIO Cooler Wallet I have owned. The first one kept my insulin cool from San Francisco to Sydney, Australia on a 13 hr flight. Checked into the hotel and the wallet was still cool. I lost or misplaced the first one so I bought this second one. Haven't used it yet but am sure it will do the trick for all my travels. Love it!

These wallets work great. Only way to keep insulin or other medications cool without having to carry an ice pack around. Used them for years now and they last forever.
