I sent these boots back because they were WAY too loose on my feet - I'd step right out of them when I walked. Since then I've tried every other brand of engineer boot I could find (except chippewa) and while most of them didn't fit any better, NONE of them came close to looking as good as these Fryes did.
I ended up buying a black pair from LL Bean that fit great but don't look half as good. Next time these Fryes go on sale I will get a pair & do whatever it takes to make them fit me - maybe combine insoles with the tongues out of some old reebok pumps.

Have a pair of these American Frye's for about three years and just love them! But if you are picky about construction details like I am, might also have to choose the best out of three pairs I ended up ordering. :oP
