A Real Boot,

Simply put, this is a fine boot. It is not your W**mart-brand knock-around, although it will stand up to use. I wear mine for looking sharp and feeling sharp, but remember a true western-style boot is gonna fit tight, so don't expect to be wearing thick wool with these like you do a less-tailored boot or shoe.
Like most pieces of American history, production has moved to Mexico, but don't let that hinder you because the workmanship is top-notch. It is worth the money if you are looking to buy fine-quality. Enjoy.

I'm a men's 11 and have muscular, but thin, runner's legs. I've tried on many Frye and the boot shaft is always too wide. This is the first and only Frye boot where the shaft was simply perfect. I can get them on and off without a bother -- no zipper, it's a pull-on -- but the extra space is minimal. The sole is without traction, so be careful when first using. The sole does mark-up over time which, I think, creates a bit more grip but there's not much there. The construction is, in my humble opinion, fantastic and the real leather sole combined with very-high quality construction and materials makes this an investment.
