Update... Had these over a year now! These are by far the BEST and MOST COMFORTABLE boots I've ever owned.. Now read on to see my original Sept. 2010 review...
I bought this pair (Tan/Vintage) after reading reviews all over the Internet. They were ALL 5 STAR! I'm not about to change that either. These boots look fantastic! I liked them in the pictures, but when you see them in person there's a real WOW factor!
I took them out of the box, put them on and off a few times to loosen them up and went out and about. They were so comfortable that I couldn't believe they were new! They felt broken in already.
The quality of the leather, finish, construction, stitching, components and workmanship are EXCELLENT. An even better thing is that FRYE makes them right here in the USA. These are quality boots. I'll review them again... maybe in 10 years or so, as these are built for a lifetime of everyday use.
Since you're reading this, I know you're thinking about buying a pair. Don't settle for second best and wish you had bought these (When your cheaply made overseas ones fall apart). Pay a bit more and and get the best! FRYE Men's Harness 12 R Vintage Boot!

I love the look of these boots, and now that they're broken in, I love the fit. During the break-in period, however, one problem occurred: one of the loops that one holds in order to pull the boot on came apart. The thread busted. I repaired it, and now that the boots are stretched for my feet I don't have to pull as hard as I did the day the loop broke, and I was able to repair it myself. The boots seem fine otherwise; just be careful when you're breaking them in.

They are exactly as shown. Excellent and comfortable boot. Hard for me to get on/off because I have high arches, but otherwise they fit excellent. A good boot, no doubt about it.
