Best Boots ever, November 23, 2009
This review is from: FRYE Men's Heath Belted Harness Boot (Apparel)
I was looking for some boots to use for riding my Motorcylce but also for something with style.
These boots are awesome! They come in a treated textured leather (like someone handled them with a bit of sandpaper) which is cool but goes away when you give them your first shine.
The look of the leather is just stunning and is different for just plain cow hide.
The intended roughness will come back automatically soon with these boots as you wear them.
The leather is soft but also strong enough as you need it for a boot like this.
First I was afraid that they might stretch too much because of the "softness" of the leather but it did not happen.
I was afraid the the extra Strap on the side and the buckles might be a bit too much but actually they are very cool and fit that boot perfectly.
The boot has a big rubber sole which is good for rain and even snow and ice.
They have a soft inside foodbed so I had no problems wearing them from day one.
The first time I wore them was on a day trip on the bike in drizzle of rain. Boots got soacked and survied just fine.
Money well spend here.

Great motorcycle boots., January 17, 2010
This review is from: FRYE Men's Heath Belted Harness Boot (Apparel)
I agree 100% with the first review about the great looks and the quality of the leather and construction. They are a very good weight for riding, and the toe is a good fit for the gear shifter (my other boots have a much thicker, rounder toe that does not give the same control). I was worried the extra straps would be too much, but I really like them a lot more than the traditional harness/engineer style. These boots are not the cushiest pair I've owned, and they wouldn't be my pick for a long day of walking, but they are comfortable and I wear them out regularly with jeans when I'm not riding. I tried them out in the snow here in DC this winter, and they held up fine but did not keep my feet warm at all and they stayed cold and a little damp for days until I left them on a radiator overnight. So I guess they aren't perfect for everything, but I'm not complaining. They are great boots and definitely worth the investment!
