Gotta be honest, like Frye products, but I also like their competitor's products, Timberland Boot Company and The Vintage Shoe Company.

They are an very good looking casual dress shoe, that makes a good daily driver and you can wear them with a suit.

Ordered these in the Midnight color, size 11/M. I was initially concerned about the color, having a blue grayish tint, limiting my color coordination. I decided to order them because of the price and worst case scenario, hand dye them black if I didn't like the color. Well forget the hand dying, because I like the color and I am not as limited in color coordinating as I thought. I purchased these to wear with jeans, but I can also wear them with varying colors of khaki's. The shoe was produced in Mexico and is of very good quality. Leather shoe, lining, and sole; the heel has a corner rubber section. The shoe strings match the shoe, black, blue-grayish coloration. Of course the shoe will require a little break in period, a few days at most, but feels comfortable right out of the box and without socks. I will be wearing socks. Satisfied, quick standard shipping; my shoe collection is getting where I wanted it to be, versatile. I would like another pair in a different color, but for $200.00; not!!!!!! If you can afford it and don't mind the price, by all means go for it. I'm just a bargain shopper and shoes are not only overpriced, but they do depreciate. These are built to last so that isn't an issue.

Update: Telephoned the Frye Company on Friday, 5/25/2012 and spoke with their customer service about another shoe that I was having sizing problems with. Love the shoe, but sizing was terribly off, something not typical of Frye. Long story short, I made mention of Frye having shoes made in China under the pretense of American owned/quality and was informed that the company had be bought out by someone else. End result, out-sourcing to China will become the standard for future Frye shoes, but the prices will remain the same; high!

The upper separated from the sole on the first pair I owned on the first day I wore them. I sent them back and amazon sent me a new pain next day delivery. I have worn this pair 3 times and both heals are cracking at the seam and pulling away from the shoe. Its complete garbage for a shoe that cost nearly 228 list. interestingly enough amazon has raised their price on the grey suede wingtip 50 bucks as well. I will not be buying a pair of these every again let alone another pair of frye shoes' trull;y disappointed. Save your money on this one

I bought the brown wingtip in a 10.5, I thought it ran a bit small, as my heel did rub a bit in the back sides of the shoe. They are an very good looking casual dress shoe, that makes a good daily driver and you can wear them with a suit. I'm not impressed w the synthetic piping, it is breaking down and cracking after 18 months.....should have been leather...for the $$. I bought a 2nd pair in black , but keep those for more formal situations.

I'm lowing my 5 stars to three. The back of my foot (heels) are raw. I went to the shoe store and they said stiff wingtips can cause bad blistering and such from the back of the shoe rubbing skin of the achille's tendon area. They said they DID fit properly...They said wear the shoes a few weeks to see if I could loosen the leather OR take them back... My feet (heels) are already RAW! I EVEN tried two sizes. BUT I am still getting compliments on the shoes:) Very nice shoe! They are a tiny bit large. Very cool looking casual/dressy shoe. I bought a pair in solid smooth brown and then a dual color pair. The dual colors all have an already worn rough look. They have NOT been worn...they look COOL! The Black/Tan/Sunrise looks awesome. They look very unique. You will get compliments. Looks great with Jeans or khakis.

Amazon offered these shoes at a significant discount (50%)for one day only. I ordered the brown distressed color. Although Frye boots are excellent, I normally would not consider their dress shoes. These are however very nice, stylish, and comfortable shoes-- good for both casual and business wear. But it turned out the color was not right for my needs. I called Amazon and asked for an exchange to a black pair at the sale price. I was informed that Amazon will honor defect exchanges only at a sale price. Size or color issues cannot be exchanged. Needless to say this is a major concern for online shoe purchases and I will order shoes strictly from Zappos in the future.
