5.0 out of 5 stars Best Boots
My second pair of these boots. They're fantastic. I'm brutal on my boots,(I'm in constuction)and my last pair of these lasted over three years. They're expensive but that's just because they're not made by 12 year old slaves in China (like most other footwear sold in the U.S. is). They're very comfortable and I'm not much of a fashion guy but I think they look "bad a$$"

I purchased these boots in black a number of months ago. I like the boots; I like the way they look and I like the fact that I purchased a USA made product. They are a cool looking alternative to the typical Timberland classic boot that often look too puffy on anyone's feet. My complaints are in the workmanship department. After I opened the box up after receiving them I spent an hour trimming off the excess burrs around the welt, sole and heels. I understand the intention is to have a rugged look but to see grinder marks on the heels and rear welt area, I have to wonder whether the employee who put these together was in a hurry or just didn't care. I purchased a peanut colored pair a few weeks later and saw similar defects; so my problem is more with Frye then anything. When I pay made in USA prices I expect made in USA workmenship. Sketcher makes a pair of these; the leather is not as good in quality as Frye's leather but the workmenship is better; and Sketchers are made in some Asian country. Frye better get its act together or they will find themselves on the ash heep of shoe making history because their quality control stunk.
